Living in Britain, we don't get a lot of Bush apologists and propagandists appearing in the media, but the ones I have heard make me glad I don't live in the States!
My point is that since the torture photos story broke here, the fight has gone out of some of these bozos. I heard that odious worm David Frum on radio while Rumsfeld was testifying, and his usual condescending arrogance had all but vanished. The same goes for Frank Gaffney, one of the world's most nauseating people, who almost sounded like a human being when questioned about how this will affect America's standing in the world now. These evil bastards know the game is up - it's only a matter of time before the entire edifice collapses under the weight of its own lies.
For the first time since I discovered DU in the aftermath of 9/11, I feel optimistic that sanity is going to return to the Western world's politics ( don't get me started on Blair!)
