How did you feel about the Dems radio address with Clark?
I thought it was good. I would like to see him be Kerry's VP pick.

He mainly used the torture to point to total mismanagement of the war on Bush's part.

1. I don't know! I can't find an mp3 copy of it
to listen to. Dang it. (The wesPac web site will not
open for me, and that's the only audio file I know about.)

6. Did you get the weird player, and nothing comes up?
I hit "play" and it finally loaded. It did take forever. I have a feeling a LOT of people are listening to it. :D

I still love our General!

8. I get a blank white screen with the little status bar.

No icons, no links, no print, nada. Nothing.

I really wanted to hear his voice, too. I've missed him. I don't
want to hope that Kerry will pick him as VP, just in case I'm
disappointed.

:hi::hi::hi: Good to talk to you!! :hi::hi::hi:

9. Do you have a firewall? Disabling it for just a moment...
... might allow you to hear the address. That's what I had to do.

Dammit, I just want you to hear it, girl!!! :D

11. I'm not on a network, and I don't have DSL.
I'm just on simple Windoze 95, with medium
security.

I want to hear it, too. Thank you.

Oh well. I will record MTP this morning and watch
The General trounce The Potatoe Boy over and over
and over and over.

12. The Potatoe Boy???
Surely, the Republicans aren't sending Dan Quayle up against Wes Clark... they couldn't be that stupid.

Who's Potatoe Boy?

I can't wait for MTP! In fact, I might not even go to bed. I think I'll just stay up for the next six hours or so.

I am such a geek. :D

20. Amish, no. Luddite, yes.

Anti-Microsoft, definitely.

I'm waiting for Linux to be viable before I make an OS switch.

2. Far more reserved than I would like...
... but understandable given the audience.

Love Clark, and think he would be an very good VP pick.

3. Listen to it here:

Left-hand side, look for BREAKING NEWS in red to listen to the address.

Excellent address!! But, I expected nothing but excellence from the General.

Paraphrasing a bit here:

"Apologies are not enough... By our own claims, we are different. We can deliberate not to occupy. By our own culture, we do not maim, or torture... This is a mission in trouble."

"More than a year after the President sent these men and women into combat, they still lack the necessary equipment. 200 lives could have been saved had the troops been properly equipped. 200! The Administration should have addressed this long ago. They must do so now."

"President Bush has made mistake after mistake as Commander in Chief. So that Iraq does not become a failed state and terrorist breeding ground, America must change course, bring in our allies, stop the unilateralism. With new American leadership, we could gain real help from our allies. We must use the power of the vote."

7. I'm impressed by the Dem Radio Responses lately!!
Using soldiers to make our case is very, very effective. 1st Lt. Paul Rieckhoff made an eloquent address a few weeks ago, and now Ret. Gen Wesley Clark.

Good work, DNC. I'm impressed. :-)

10. The vicious tide of redneck scum and neocon Nazis is finally turning.

They have had their day, and they have failed.

The only danger now is that they will attempt BLATANT extra-constitutional methods to retain power.

16. Here's further proof that Clark will be the VP.
Last week, JK gave a major address on Iraq at Westminster College in Fulton, MO. In it he prescribed a solution relying heavily NOT on the UN, but on NATO. I do not believe that is a coincidence. That is clearly the theme he will carry all the way through the campaign, and what better evidence of his ability to pull it off than having the former SAC of NATO on his ticket.

19. I'm not sure I heard the entire thing
but whatever I heard was great. He's still hammering away at Bush's incompetant handling of the war...and the fact that we went in the first place. Very cool...

I think the party is really lucky to have him on our side. He's a major asset, and he would make a great VP.
