NYTweety-hater : Whoa, Wes nailed it again on MTP. He would make one hell of a a secretary defense.

Defcon4: Never happen, Tweet. He's gotta wait 10 years after his military service.

Cheyney-ac: Yeah but he'd make a great VP.

2. Yeah, when h was discussing what "the mission "hinges" on...
he was awesome. Graham was weird. That whole bit about jumping on Rummy's back is going to be fodder for Daily Show 4 sure.

"We are there at the sufferance of the Iraqui people - if they don't want us there we'll have to go" - that a while ago.
Today he was more forceful, predicting "a catastrophic abortion of the mission - ttwo to one - unless we change course"

3. I miss your point on this thread: are you denying Clark has to wait 10 yr
before being eligible for SOD? Are you arguing against him as a VP candidate? What's the point?

variations of the same "Wes Clark should be VP/Wes can't be VP for 10 yrs" conversation. Actually, I thought this at the lounge and messed up. I thought I was being funny. I dont know what i thought. Time for coffee...

5. Who said he can't be SOD?
Looks like the logical choice to me.

Can you imagine? A sensible, reasonable man in that office?

Whatever will we do?

7. by law he must be out of military 10 years prior to eligible for SOD...
I think this has come up about a zillion times on DU, but of course it is not something that is widely known... thus, I guess the frustration of the original poster, who has seen this comment every time Wes Clark's name comes up. No one is arguing he would be an excellent SOD, just trying to educate on the eligibility requirements.
