bush perversity and our nation is sick
There are the tortured Iraqis...and Bush has created atrocities galore, I ask, when will America wake up and get a conscience?
When will sociopaths be OUT of power and not be trusted as 'fit' "leaders" anymore? And what will we do those of us with functioning empathy to remove these kinds of personalities from societies institutions, from government, law business and medicine?
Changing begins with each one of us choosing to interfere with an abuser and expose what they DO whenever you see it and refusing to go along with it or excuse it.It means walking in on child beaters, rapists, and animal torturers wherever they are doing their crimes and exposing what they did to anyone and everyone. The torture in Iraq is out there because someone had character in a situation where no one else had it. It means each of us becoming like the guy who documented the Iraqi tortures, having courage to act on our own conscience and convictions about right and wrong. It means putting the truth out for all to see, regardless, and doing it dispite all the wailings from bullies and enablers about "national security" ,"the damage the truth may do to integrity of the church,"or the stock market's reactions,Or the reputation of a family man,a school, or a nation. It might mean risking your job,or your home,or your own safety sometimes.
But tell me,who is safe to live when bullies can do what they will.
Hunkering down in silence as a intimidated witness or accepting bribes and listening to threats is not freedom.

1. Agreed - each individual must disrupt the status quo
Bush Co. will be allowed to carry on the madness called the 'war on terrorism' as long as pacified Americans don't make time to speak out and act out.

2. We are still animals, not human yet.
Human beings still behave the way folks do, as they did thousands of years ago....it's gonna take a lot more evolution before there is a really great step forward in behavior of the masses. Folks still do in groups what they never would do in private.....we don't yet deserve to be separated from "animals" sorry to say. Nothing suprises me. Nothing has changed. There is a nazi hiding in all of us it would seem.

3. Nazi inside
Yeah I agree we all have a Nazi inside, the question is it is in control of your heart or not? The only thing we can hope to control in this world is our reactions to what life throws our way.Once we give that locus of power inside ourselves away and give up on our own conscience, and react in a self deceptive way or a bystander way or an immoral way we have lost it all ,we might as well admit we have let ourselves be puppets for Nazis if we are not the cruel Nazi bastards ourself...There is no excuse for letting your inner Nazi dictate ,(or the inner Nazis inside other people)how you should treat others.
We can choose to be better than a Nazi,we can choose to disobey, say no,or not believe what we are told,we can choose to not dehumanize others.
The sad thing is people fail to consider how powerful they really are, because instead they play games and pretend they are powerless, because they seek obedience and to force others be like they themselves are,to validate to themselves an illusion of mastery lost in the thrall of that powerless trip of the ego with emotional insecurity and lack of empathy people can if they choose to,become monsters.
