2. I wouldn't call myself a one issue voter
but I would be hard pressed to vote for someone who is anti choice. That said, the reason I don't call myself a one issue voter is that someone who is anti choice usually has many other stances that I disagree with.

3. I think the single-issue types are Republicans
Just get a TV evangelist to chant "Abortion...abortion..." and their hearts and minds will follow. Sad...

and you'll find there are some who declare themselves SINGLE ISSUE VOTERS.

I used to think they were only in the Republican party, too.

6. war(s)
I have soon to be draft age sons and would prefer not to have to try to move to Canada at the moment.

I'm not convinced Kerry will do the right thing with IraqNam, but I don't think he will expand the wars as Smirky will obviously do

7. environment

I agree with those who say the same forces which harm our environment are the forces which harm the workers, the poor, the elderly, the children, and those without representation:

greed, corporate influence, short-sightedness, hatred, death wishes, etc.

Strong environmental policies are CRUCIAL to our national security, imo.

12. I strongly agree environmental policies are an indicator
how a political leader will treat the poor and the powerless.

If the leader cannot or refuses negotiate a simple agreement to limit pollution, then he is unlikely to have the diplomatic skills to avoid brinkmanship, invasion, etc. Some leaders just want to "bring it on" because that's the only way they know how to operate.

10. The stolen 2000 election.
Voting for Kerry to overturn the dictatorship and regain some semblance of democracy.

But all the horrible things that have happened to America since Bu$h seized power are also reasons for me to vote against him.

11. I suppose my one issue would be the Supreme Court.
I don't ever want it in the hands of fascists.
That's why I always vote for the D on any and all ballots!

Is there any other issue of importance that isn't directly related to this one?

15. One issue voters usually pick an issue that has little effect
on people's everday lives.

Death penalty, guns, gay marriage, x commandments, etc.

17. Yes. Democracy, itself, should be the only issue this year.
It's probably our last chance to support all the other issues.
