Feel free to borrow, edit, steal, repeat.

(in hindsight I wish I'd mentioned the hatemongerers such as Rush, O'Leily, Hannity, Coulter, Savage, et al, for they are responsible as well)

Hello -

Not only is the Bush administration responsible for the torture at Abu Ghraib, but the media is as well.

How?

You have permitted the President to spread his lies about linking Iraq to 9/11. The fact that most Americans believe that Iraq had something to do with 9/11 speaks volumes as to the media's FAILURE about getting the truth out.

Furthermore, every time you use the term "The President's War on Terror" with regards to the invasion of Iraq, you further spread the lie.

Not only that, but the media lets the administration, and the generals in Iraq use the term "terrorists" to describe anybody who isn't on our side.

This goes back to Bush, who announced "you are either with us or against us".

To many Americans, and to many soldiers, all Iraqis are "terrorists".

And Bush has let us know that terrorists have no rights as human beings.

We even passed laws to that effect. They are not POW's, they are "enemy combatants" who can be held as long as we want to hold them, in dog kennels in Cuba.

The soldiers know this. They've been told this.

The fish rots from the head. Who is at the head? George Bush.

And you should look in the mirror if you want to know why so many Americans think it's okay to abuse Iraqis.

This entire country, and especially its mainstream media, should be fully ashamed of itself.

2. Here's mine:
Of course it does. The Bushes excel at crying "out of the loop," but the president is very much in the loop. He just likes to portray himself as being too stupid to know what's going on. It's not Rumsfeld who should resign, it's Bush.
