Should state join race to the bottom?
Michigan's GOP chief says the problem is highly paid workers

Republican lawmakers regularly blame Michigan's struggling economy on high taxes and too much regulation. But Betsy DeVos, the flame-throwing mother of all state Republicans, has revealed what
REALLY irks those at the top of the financial food chain.
As first reported by Steven Harmon of the Grand Rapids Press, DeVos says part of our economic funk can be blamed on those pesky Michigan workers making too much money.
"Many, if not most, of the economic problems in Michigan are a result of high wages and a tax and regulatory structure that makes this state uncompetitive," DeVos, the Republican state party chairwoman, said in an April 27 news release on the party's Web site.
