Kerry naming McCain as potential Sec'y of Defense choice preempts

bush naming McCain if Rumsfeld eventually resigns, right?

Yesterday there were a few threads referring to anonymous sources saying Rumsfeld is considering resigning - nothing solid, just soft murmurs.

Kerry naming McCain as a viable choice probably made Rove go, "Doh!" and cross McCain off their short list (I hope).

Either Bush picks "Kerry's choice" as SecDef which makes him look like he listened to Kerry's advice ... or else he has to select some other Rumsfeld-Clone who's gonna totally suck ass.

I don't think Rummy should resign, be fired or be impeached. He is a giant liability to the Cabal so I want him to stick around. Any replacement selected by the Cabal will be just as bad (except maybe McCain).
