photo of torture caused by Americans in Iraq

Sarah Haider, a wounded eight-year-old Iraqi girl, sits in a hospital bed after her house was destroyed in an overnight air strike, which killed her both parents, in Najaf, May 12, 2004. U.S. troops killed at least 20 militiamen loyal to rebel Shi'ite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr in fierce fighting in the Iraqi city of Kerbala, a senior U.S. military officer said. REUTERS/Faleh Kheiber

Feel free to rate the picture. Everybody should see what we're doing in Najf

Tell me how this is an improvement over what Saddam was doing.

7. They were there
but you have to look for them.

I use to post them everyday for the first few months of the war.

2. Janet Jackson
At least it is not anything serious like Janet Jacson's nipple. Our good pro-life killers don't count Iraqi children.

9. If we call everything torture...
we downplay what really happened in that prison. What happened to that little girl is wrong, but it's a different kind of wrong.

10. are you shitting me?
That girl is tortured now for the rest of her goddamn life.

Her face is scarred forever and her parents are DEAD.

If that isn't torture, what the FUCK IS?

11. He's right.
It's just as bad, but they're two different things. Kind of like rape and murder.

Torture would be if we asked her questions while slowly causing her wounds.

13. if you ask me, this is far worse than the prison abuse
and I don't understand why THIS shit isn't causing ten times the outrage as the prison photos.

I mean the prison photos are pretty fucking bad, but let's face it, the only reason that story's got legs is because it's about SEX.

This is about maiming an innocent child and killing her parents!!

12. That, too, has been done in our name.
Just like what was done to that little boy, Ali, who had his arms blown off in the same bombing that destroyed his home, killed his mom and most of his family and left him maimed for life.

16. I think maggrwaggr wanted to make a point. I don't think he's
I think maggrwaggr wanted to make a point. I don't think he's going to call every casualty "torture" from now on, but he made an interesting point at a time when torture is in the news.
