Would you support a "GLBT" business that advertised itself as such?

2. In a fucking heartbeat, even to the point of buying stuff i don't need

they are the last group that is openly oppressed. The only gay owned business (openly) in this city are bookstores.

I'm not really sure what business would be so specific to the GLBT community that it would preclude straight customers/clients (maybe gay wedding planning?). If it provides a service or product that I need, I would patronize it (I wouldn't NOT patronize it, but I can't say that I would seek it out specifically).

Both sell the product that meets my needs and both are close enough to each other in price that it makes no difference. Which would I choose?

I'd go for the rainbow flag every time. I've never been screwed over by a business openly advertising the gay proprietorship. Every last company I ever did business with that had the Jesus Fish ripped me off.

think we have been supporting them all along. Advertising GLBT, I don't think would ruin any business for these people, other than from the most homophobic males.

17. Unless it was a GLBT specific biz I doubt It'd make a difference to me

if it was a gay travel agency, or matchmaker, or something related, it'd make a difference. Maybe if I were looking for men's fashions (ack! the stereotypes!)... but otherwise I don't see why it should matter if the owners are straight, gay, christian, atheist, black, brown, or purple.

I'm afraid that if businesses started advertising based on their association with non-related things, we'd segregate ourselves more than we already do.

For one thing, I'm bisexual (as is my wife), and for another thing, if you don't support GLBT businesses in San Francisco, you're going to do without a lot of stuff.
