Finally a Democrat who tells the truth & won't back down-GOP are lying
Edited on Fri May-21-04 02:26 AM by Zinfandel
their asses off, and trying to imtimiate...we should be sending praises to Nancy Pelosi---the right-wing pigs are coming after her, but they will get nowhere...the truth is coming out...FINALLY! Freepers can never handle the truth, they offer only lies and threats, with absolutely no substance or validity.
:bounce:
Pelosi won't back off Bush condemnation
'Her words are putting American lives at risk,' says her House counterpart.

Washington
-- House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi of San Francisco rejected Republican demands Thursday that she apologize for her strong condemnation of President Bush, as raw nerves over Iraq collided with raw politics on Capitol Hill.

Republican leaders accused Pelosi of taunting the troops, inspiring the enemy and putting American lives at risk by telling The Chronicle on Wednesday that Bush is an "incompetent leader'' who lacks the judgment, experience or knowledge to make good decisions.

Pelosi stood her ground, telling reporters that "the emperor has no clothes." With the violence in Iraq threatening to overshadow all other issues in the coming election season, each party claimed to possess the moral high ground in setting the rules for debate.

"She apparently is so caught up in the partisan hatred for President Bush that her words are putting American lives at risk,'' said House Majority leader Tom DeLay, R-Texas. "This nation cannot afford the luxury of her dangerous rhetoric.''

Countered one Democratic leader: "Frankly, that's McCarthyism.''

U.S. kills 40 civilians in village attack
BLUNT ASSESSMENT: S.F.'s Pelosi calls Bush 'incompetent' and lacking in judgment.

"Bush is an incompetent leader. In fact, he's not a leader,'' Pelosi said. "He's a person who has no judgment, no experience and no knowledge of the subjects that he has to decide upon.''

"He has on his shoulders the deaths of many more troops, because he would not heed the advice of his own State Department of what to expect after May 1 when he ... declared that major combat is over,'' Pelosi charged. "The shallowness that he has brought to the office has not changed since he got there.''

"Not to get personal about it, but the president's capacity to lead has never been there. In order to lead, you have to have judgment. In order to have judgment, you have to have knowledge and experience. He has none,'' Pelosi said.

1. Black is White

Actually, of course, Bush-league has put all the American lives at risk by failing to heed warnings of terrorist attacks, sending armies into battle on false pretenses, ignoring the laws of war, etc., etc., etc.

2. way to go Ms. Pelosi!
Don't back down.

Criticism of Bush's competency is not partisanship, it is rationality.

This is the most corrupt and most incompetent misadministration in US history.

It is Bush's incompetence that is putting soldiers' lives at risk. Not Ms. Pelosi's honesty.

3. The asshole who started the war isn't putting troops in danger?
Some congresswoman from California who speaks the truth is actually the one putting the troops in danger, not the fucking president who started a pointless war without a plan?

The Republicans are out of control.

for a transplant into Tom Daschle. There's another anatomical part he's missing - maybe James Carville could help out in that department.

To suggest that criticism of the President is a direct insult to US soldiers is just so stupid and sickening.

for a change and don't pull a Dashle, run & hide, quiver and then try and distance themselves and apologize...for what, the truth?

This is what Americans want to hear and need to hear. They had better not back down or there will be millions of pissed off Democrats.

We know all about Bush's lies and threats. Bush lies are killing our soldiers and innocent people everywhere, for BushCo's imperialistic corporate greed.

And Bush just keeps on lying, saying it's about Iraqi freedom now...he lied before the illegal invasion and said it was about WMD, where's, bin Ladden surely not in Iraq.

We are sick of it.

26. I saw her attacked on here because
the Washington Congressman omitted "under God" from the pledge, and Pelosi reprimanded him for it publicly. Pelosi is great at times, but she sometimes hurts the progressives by such actions as the one listed above.

16. And Bush's war furthers terrorism also..
GLC site tells tonite, Homeland Security is calling the summer of 2004-the summer of terrorism.. Police are to look out for suspects in coats with hidden bombs, etc.
They will scare us into voting Bush or maybe even cancel the election. We must convince the people Bush's war has been a recruting tool or Islamic radicals. The Spanish knew that from the start of Bush's war. They learned the hard way.
Hopefully, we prepare the American people for the 'blowback' from Bush's war.

21. Amen Nancy!
Telling the truth puts our soldiers at risk a hell of a lot less than Bush's lies did! Bush Cheney had to have their war and they lied knowingly to get what they wanted! They thought it was over when Bush declared "Mission Accomplished"! They thought Iraq was a paper tiger that they could just roll over without any trouble! Notice how they never jump on any other dictators that CAN fight back, even though we know the other dictators have WMD for real!

Nancy Pelosi did nothing but tell the truth, but to people like Tom DeLay the truth is the last thing they want told! Bush was a loser in 2000 and he has been all his sheltered pathetic life! Tom DeLay is stupid beyond belief too! I'd hate to be one of the troops and have to depend on Tom and Junior's mind power and morals to keep me safe from harm!

27. My e-mail to Nancy. YOU GO GIRL! more...
Lordee, lady. I wish you were my rep.
Unfortunately it's Jo(siah) Bonner.
Just keep telling it and telling it and telling it and telling it.

THE EMPEROR HAS NO CLOTHES!

For all those who think we've been "insinuating", or "suggesting", or "hinting"...
Let me make this perfectly clear. Sit up straight, and listen! Read my lips.
THE EMPEROR HAS NO CLOTHES! Is that plain enough?
He's buck/butt (depending on your slang dictionary) NAKED!
BE NO CLOTHES!! Ain't no threads. Guy got no vines. Hey, man...the cat's minus garments.
Like, t-o-t-a-l-l-y naked. Nude, dude. It's all hangin' out. In the buff. Sans couture. The fabric ain't there.
Negative habiliment. No zoot suit, with the reet pleat. No Armani; no Hart, Schaffner & Marx.
No polyester or wool blend. HE IS UNCLOTHED!

There. Got it?
George W. Bush never was, never will be, not in his fondest dreams, ever, ever the duly and legally elected president of these United States. No amount of spin, or rationalization, or weaseling, or "yeah...but, the Democrats...", or whifle-ing, or whining, or whinging, or shouting, or bombast, can ever change that. It will be in the history books forever and ever.

We did not vote him in, but we can sure-as-hell vote him out.
Thanks for the rant.
