State-of-the-art racist language for Iraqis
Several days ago, someone asked what the current racist term for Iraqis is. The term is in the title of Bob Herbert's piece in today's NYT: "From 'Gooks' to 'Hajis.'"

As the earlier poster made plain, this is important, and not just academically. When you have a dehumanizing term for your "enemy," then you don;t have to treat them like human beings.

1. Yes
and I have seen on TV how the troops kick in doors in the night and yell at the whole family, and push them around. It's effing this and effing that. That should win the hearts and minds of the Iraqis!
