Is it my imagination or is The Simpsons getting more political?
Last week they took a jab at the Ashcroftian crackdowns and this week The Fox News style media take over. THis could keep the show going for a while.

1. second best simpsons 2nite ever
Last week I think was the best.
Though I liked that part where the protester was beheaded and yelled
"Vote republican"
The parting shot at rupurt was way too funny too.

I actually liked tonight's episode better than last week's.

I thought tonight's episode was more cohesive and down-to-earth in the sense of only taking place in Springfield.

10. Tonight's episode was also far funnier in the
laughs per minute department.

5. They've done plenty of political satire before
Last season, they did an episode on Krusty running for congress (as a Republican, of course).

And, in season 6, they did Sideshow Bob Roberts, where Sideshow Bob ran for Mayor (as a Republican, of course).

But it's nice of them to end their 15th season on a high note, doing political satire. I suppose when there are outlandish republicans in charge, they just need to be satirized.
