1. interesting
It's interesting from a couple angles.

First, the one type of show besides westerns that I have zero zilch interest in is game shows. I think they appeal to the "trivia" minded and focus on kitschy little detail rather than significant thought.

Second, "game show" is the republican approach to education. No child left behind is all about "teaching to the test," i.e., just answer the question. Never mind what's behind the question.

2. also
Why would a guy in California (Alex Trebek) give money to a Nebraska state senator? In this case, it's Chuck Hagel, of voting machine fame.

9. I did too, and I think Bradley would have soundly beaten *
He had no 'Clinton fatigue' baggage, he was more likeable, and I think more identifiable for undecideds than Gore or Bush*.

He's also a good deal smarter than Gore. He was a Rhodes scholar like Clinton.

I'll bet you he would have gotten the nom if he ran this year instead of 2000.

Ugh! The more I think about 2000...

10. i thought i was the only one that thought that.
i really liked bradley. people i spoke to that knew about him thought he was very sincere and yes, more likeable than gore. i think he endorsed dean pretty early on, that's the last i heard from him.

11. A bit dissapointed
in Trebeck.

Oh well, atleast it was to a moderate republicans like Hagel, rather than some far RWer like Inhofe or Santorum. Also, I saw no contributions to Bush.
