Something Ellen Mariani said about the non-capture of bin Laden,
at the 9/11 Citizens Inquiry, that I thought deserved passing on. (Mrs Mariani, of course, is the 9/11 widow who has served Bush et al with a RICO lawsuit for the wrongful death of her husband.)

She said she communicates with a mother of a serviceman who, before he returned from Afghanistan, asked his mom to say the word "security" to her next time they met. (That is, he had something to tell her that was too hot for the phone, and wanted her to prompt him in person.) When they met, she said the word, and he remembered what he wanted to say: he told her that they had seen bin Laden many times, but they had standing orders not to shoot him.

Some time later, Mariani happened to be sitting next to a young female military intelligence officer on an airliner. Mariani played dumb and didn't reveal who she was, and led the officer to believe she was pro-Bush. Finally she said, "It's true isn't it, that bin Laden's been seen many times, but there are orders not to shoot him?" The officer confirmed, before realizing she'd said too much.

Just anecdotes. Make of 'em what you will.

1. Just another among many reports
The mission is not about capturing Bin Laudin.

3. bush* & Co. cannot afford to nab bin Ladin. Because if they take him out
of the picture, then who will they blame everything on? They need him to have someone to point to and blame for all their troubles. If he's captured and the inevitable attacks keep happening, then the American people will understand that all he's done is created a generation of 'terrorists' because of his actions in Iraq.

6. Well, plus probably doesn't want to piss off ..

..the bin Laden family. I mean, Ossama's done some bad things, but he's still part of the clan and the clan is close to Bush, so what's to figure out really?

2. I heard a similar story a couple of years ago
I heard this story second hand from one of the special ops guys that was in Tora Bora. He said he was part of small unit that was trying to hunt down bin Laden. They had finally found him and had him surrounded and were ready to go in for the kill. Just when they were ready to start the final phase of the operation, their higher ups showed up on the scene and took over. They were told to back off because the higher ups and their folks were taking over the operation. Then the helicopters were brought in and Osama got a free ride out. Needless to say the special ops guys were less than pleased.

(I was told this story months before Sy Hersh published his story.)

4. Your story confirms a report in the Fayetteville Observer Aug 2, 2002,
in which a special forces soldier describes the same scene:

A Special Forces soldier says that troops had Osama bin Laden pinpointed in Afghanistan in November, but leaders took too long to decide to go after him and he slipped away.

...

The soldier, who said he was on the ground at Tora Bora when bin Laden was located, agreed to talk about the incident on condition that his name not be used.

...

...a Special Forces team captain on the ground would not give approval to go after bin Laden because there was no specific mission order to do so, the soldier said.

While the Army was deciding what to do, Special Forces soldiers saw two Russian-made helicopters fly into the area where bin Laden was believed to be, load up passengers and fly toward Pakistan.

"I said, 'There he goes,'" the soldier said.

And I've often wondered if there was a connection between what they saw, and the spate of murder-suicides at Fort Bragg soon after they returned. Too much talk, and some silencing required?

In regards to Post #4, the fellow that I'm referring to lives in NC, I'm pretty sure at Fort Bragg and is an African American.

I haven't been up there to visit in a couple of years, so I'm not sure what's happened to him since then.

8. I always thought
that they have the guy in custody and in Oct. he will miraculously be found. Did they keep him in custody or let him go? If they let him go, why would they do that? Doesn't make sense. If they have him locked up somewhere, they can use him in OCT. "I" don't think catching bin Laden in Oct. will matter...it's too late, but they think it will win them the election.

5. It must be too soon to bring him in.
October would be perfect for his capture. Everyone here knows what I'm talking about.

9. No it appears to be worse then that even
It is no secret the relationship between the Bush family and the Bin Laudin family. They were the only people allowed to fly during the "No Fly days" directly following 911

It also appears there has been some sort of relationship between the CIA and Bin Laudin also. One that they seem reluctant to end. Clinton tried to order the assassination of Bin Laudin and they had the opportunity and means to affect this but refused. We all know the relationship the Bush family has enjoyed with the CIA and suspected the CIA was just politicizing the issue of who gets to take out this enemy of America.

Now in post 911 days it is official policy to take out Bin Laudin yet the same results seem to be occurring. Makes one wonder if the order was more of just window dressing

14. I still can't believe that people don't get this!
Osama Bin Laden was - AND IS - a CIA asset. Every time CIA needs something done Bin Laden shows up.

Here for example are three KNOWN - not suspected - times that the CIA and Bin Laden have worked together:

Afghanistan during Soviet occupation - everyone knows this one.

Kosovo in the late 90's - Bin Laden and "Al Qaeda" helped train and equip the KLA which carried out a terrorist war against the Serbs, precipitating US involvement in a war and occupation in Kosovo.

Chechnya also during the late 90's and into 2000 - Al Qaeda helped train and equip the Chechen rebels in order to tie up the Russian military in one war while the US quickly became dominant in many of the Baltic states.

All of these appearances of Al Qaeda were to the benefit of the US - Bin Laden worked with the US as little as a ONE YEAR before Sept 11.

In every case, these appearances have been confirmed by the US State dept and intelligence agencies, and in all of these cases "Al Qaeda" involvement has gone down the memory hole since Sept 11.

"Al Qaeda" IS the CIA, and it always has been.

18. Continue the time line

A few months before 9/11 Bin Laden is known to be with the Taliban in Afghanistan, and the * administration gives the Taliban $40 million. I spent over 4 years in Afghanistan back in the day, and you could buy 3 Afghanistans for $40 mil. Were there any CIA operations going on then? To a tinfoilhat like me it looks like * gave the Taliban the money to give to CIA/Al Queda/Bin Laden to pay for 9/11.

Okay, so */Al Queda/CIA gets their "Pearl Harbor" to justify the Iraq invasion. Their justification is based mainly on material from Chalabi, who it now turns out may be an Iranian spy.

None of this makes sense to me, except from the perspective of war profiteers, for whom any war is a good war and it doesn't matter if you're on one or both sides, or whether the countries you destroy are your own or somebody else's, so long as you make lots of money.

15. do the bin Ladens still have money invested in The Carlyle Group?
... as if, with private equity investment houses, anyone could tell (needs reforming) ... money talks, osama walks ...

I just can't imagine someone with kidney problems needing dialysis surviving in the terrain and on the hunt he supposedly is in ... unless he is cured ... or died before 911 ... or shortly after he was reportedly visited in hospital by US agents in 2001 ... all the "osama" tapes have been met with skepticism and doubt ...

17. The Getaway by Seymour Hersh details again how invested with ISI
(Pakistan military intelligence) elements of US national security community are, read this first,
http://www.globalresearch.ca/articles/HER206A.html

then a bit more about the role of ISI in the 9/11/2001 attacks by Michel Chossudovsky whom addressed the Toronto 9/11 investigation that you were fortunate to attend, Minstrel Boy.
http://www.globalresearch.ca/articles/CHO111A.html

Then there is the role of BCCI in 9/11/2001, Senator Kerry is knowledgable about BCCI...also the ISI...
