Hypothetical Question: *IF* it could be absolutely proven beyond .....
... a shadow of doubt. Un-deniable, un-questionable, un-discreditable evidence that NO ONE could have any defense against - that BushCo *knew* 9/11 was going to happen and LIHOP.

Would the country be able to withstand the fallout and consequences?

Would it even get loose even if BushCo was out of power?

1. The masses still would not believe it.
One has to be paying attention to what is going on and what with FAUX and all those reality shows, who has the time?

2. Not even one true-believer would waver in the least, IMHO, for its
ideology and extreme partisanship over honor, duty, country, and our Constitution every time, hands down.

3. The country could handle it but not the GOP
Regardless, the Republicans are going to have to distance themselves from their leadership or suffer electoral consequences. The ABB coalition in this country is diverse and growing, and it will include servicemen and their friends and families. At a local memorial concert for a slain serviceman two weeks ago, I arrived late and could find nowhere to park but I was amazed at the number of people. A friend who peformed at the concert said there was a lot of Bush bashing and the crowd was pretty solidly in that camp. This is a conservative, Republican area but people are pretty fed up with this administration even around here.

4. This is the same
situation as when the CIA assassinated Kennedy.

Anyone that believes it will be labeled a "conspiracy nut".

And it will never, ever, be proved conclusively. Even if Osama
came forward and stated that he told Bush that his guys were going
to hijack the planes and fly them into buildings... it wouldn't
matter.

(Putting my tinfoil hat back on now)

5. First, quite a few people are in prison for FAR less circumstantial....
...evidence.

Second, you're correct, they would do anything to cover up the fact that FratBoy involved in LIHOP or MIHOP. We have a history of covering up quite a few things at high levels, particularly scandals involving the occupants of the White House. The only scandal that has been completely exposed at that level since before WWII involved Clinton and Lewinsky.

Third, even if everyone found out, the fallout and consequences to the country would be FAR less than another four years of FratBoy and his NeoCon minions.

6. This would be very similar to the situation faced by loyal
Germans when they discovered that Hitler was pursuing a scorched earth policy to stop the advance of the Red Army on Berlin. They could not believe that their dear Fuehrer would be willing to sacrifice their lives in order to protect himself and his close advisers.I am sure we will all be in denial for many years to come.Only future generations of Americans can even grasp the enormity of such a bombshell.

7. The Video of Bush in the Classroom is Just That for LIHOP, AT LEAST
Edited on Fri Jun-25-04 08:26 PM by AndyTiedye
There he was, just sitting there, OBVIOUSLY letting it all happen while somebody was reading about goats.
Two planes had crashed into the WTC, we were obviously under attack by SOMEONE,
and he JUST SITS THERE?! He doesn't even look the least bit surprised.

IF he had no knowledge of the terrorists' plans (LIHOP) or complicity in them (MIHOP),
WHY DID HE STAY THERE? He was an obvious target, and his whereabouts were public
knowledge. He would certainly have vacated the premises IMMEDIATELY for his own safety,
*and* that of the schoolchildren! He did not do so, so he must have known he was in
no danger. HOW COULD HE HAVE KNOWN THAT¡?¿!

There are also all the foreign intelligence agencies that say they told us about the plot.
And Ashcroft chartering his own plane whenever he wanted to fly somewhere.

It almost takes a :tinfoilhat: to NOT believe LIHOP or MIHOP these days.
