Yet another ambiguous poll on CNN.
Does the Senate report on prewar intelligence change your opinion of the Iraq war?

Now just how do you answer THAT?

If you say yes, it could mean you thought it was a good idea before the report.

If you say no, it could mean that you didn't agree with it before, and still don't!

1. I think they do this intentionally. I am not the only one who has sent
them scathing comments on the idiocy of their wording of the poll questions, and they keep on doing it over and over and over.

2. what an utterly stupidly worded question
I think it's unaswerable, because of the implied bias.

NO it did not change my opinion. I NEVER thought the invasion of Iraq was a good call.

But for some reason, I feel that if I answer 'No' to this question, I am somehow saying that I supported the invasion.

3. The question does assume everybody was for the war.
How studid.

4. They did the same thing a few days ago.
Does the choice of Edwards as VP make you more likely to vote for Kerry?
Yes
No

I sent them an email saying the poll was meaningless without knowing whether the respondent was a Bush or Kerry supporter.

Their submittal form is similar. They only allow a choice of 'Positive' and 'Negative'; I suggested they add 'Neutral' to the selection list.

:eyes:

5. standard question
They use that format all the time. I don't think it's neccessarily a bias for or against the issue; I think they're just too lazy to actually think about what they're asking.

I remember during the whole Limbaugh/drug thing, CNN also had a poll that was worded as follows: "Does the recent disclosure by Rush Limbaugh about his addiction to prescription drugs change your opinion of him?"

Does anyone actually do any work at these "news" channels?
