Contrary to the party line, we are the ones that are occupied in Iraq...
The Bush Administration has stated in the last few days that if we were not fighting the terrorists over in Iraq, we would be fightng them here. We are keeping them "occupied" over there, they say.

It is true that we have occupied the country, but is we that are "occupied". All our attention is directed toward Iraq. This permits the terrorists the opportunity to recruit and plan in numerous other nations because we do not have the capacity to interfere with their plans. They have us pinned down in Iraq, literally. It is we that are "occupied".

And it appears that terrorism is increasing in Iraq and other places in the Middle East as the US is stuck in our own Alamo known as Iraq. The Bush policy will increase terrorism ten-fold. Young terrorists are pouring into Iraq from Saudi Arabia and Iran, according to some published reports. This ill-conceived "war on terror" is a colossal mistake. Unfortunately it authors cannot admit their mistake so young Americans will continue to die day after day and year after year...

1. I thought it was interesting
yesterday when I heard someone on TV say "This was an unprovoked attack." Um, what??? We have done so much damage, killed untold thousands, got the UN to give it all a stamp of legitimacy and this attack was unprovoked???

Wow.
