Fox News going Left??
I don't watch Fox, so I wouldn't know, but according to residents of the on-line insane asylum, Freak Republic, Fox has shifted Left. Look at these posts:

"Right now, they are giving a forum to a man who served with Kerry and is speaking on behalf of him at the Dim convention. I turned the channel."

"What is wrong with FoxNews these days????????They are the only newschannel I watch, but I've about had it with them these days."

"They beat CNN on all counts, except being liberal leaning. Now they want to beat them in that too."

"FOX is giving the Democrats their day in the sun.

The point will be IF FOX does the same thing for the Republican convention?"

"FNC is becoming more "mainstream". they rode conservative viewership up the ladder to be #1, and now they are tacking left to try and expand their demographic. its obvious in their coverage. take away Brit Hume and Hannity - and what's left for the conservatives? not much."

Is this true??

2. Where will the Freepers
get their 'News'.

I know someone who works for the local Fox affiliate - his nickname for it? 'The Ministry of Truth.'

4. Wait. I thought Faux was "fair and balanced"
So Freepers aren't in on the charade?

You know, the wink and the nod that Faux is fair and balanced.

So they complain if Faux tries to be fair and balanced.

5. I'm no help
wouldn't watch faux news ona bet - I've turned it on 2 or 3 times in the last year and got physically ill within minutes. Their trumped up Patriotism, the contempt for disparate voices is appalling - does not represent the country I I've been promised or the country I promised my children.

9. Forum to a man who served with Kerry?
Whassa matter? Those clowns have nothing but antipathy for veterans, all of a sudden? They afraid that his "been there, done that" has more credibility than theirs, which consists of masturbating to internet porn and typing "demonRAT"?

What hollow, contemptuous little creatures they are. Beneath contempt. I have more regard for the dogshit on my bootheel.

27. Absolutely.
It is simply a response to the Moveon lawsuit and "Outfoxed". Their minions have nothing to worry about, as the election approaches the whoring will intensify.

Freepers: Chill...the interruption in your propaganda is ONLY TEMPORARY!

13. Hey freepers, what would you have Faux cover?
The white washed prison torture report that was purposely released on the same day as the 9/11 commission report?

The white washed 9/11 report that fails to "track the money"?

Sen. Shelby's leak of national security information?

The outing of Valerie Plame?

GWB was AWOL.

The investigation into Cheney/Haliburton and the bid rigging or violations of international sanction laws relative to dealings with Iran or the bribes in Nigeria?

What, at the DNC should we have the repukes sitting there making fun of their attire?

15. They are a business after all...
Fox news has been getting some horrible "press" lately. Is it just funny to me that the press is pressing the press? Oh well. Anyways, I believe that they might be trying to become more fair and balanced. I use "might" very carefully. I do watch Fox News, because its always useful to know the other side of the story. Having three conservative talk shows, and zero liberal ones is hardly what I call "fair and balanced". And they do not "beat CNN on all counts". Despite being the most watch news agency, they are not the most trusted. A comatose patient could see that Fox is right-wing.

You also must remember, that no matter how left leaning of a news agency they are, they are still a news agency. I think refusing to cover the DNC would be going a bit too far as a conservative "fair and balanced" station. Having a single person on speaking for the Democrats is hardly what I would call a left-leaning station. Most likely, they have him on just to ridicule him is some way shape or form. As a news agency, they still must bring in an audience, and alienating all of the democrats in the country is bad business. So I believe they are just throwing the Donkey and bone, they arent about to ride him.

It is a major news story. If they didn't cover it, that would be a bit too obvious.

18. Well I don't believe they are in their hearts
But with all the negative attention FOX has been getting lately (Outfoxed, Doonesbury) they might be toning down the fascism for a bit until things blow over. They're also going through a lawsuit that could force them to remove their "Fair and Balanced" logo. It's like when the boss is around, everyone is on their best behavior.

20. I about fell off the couch yesterday
I seldomly watch Fox, but for some reason the Beltway boys was on while doing the checkbook yesterday. I about fell off the couch when one said that he didn't know single Gore voter who was voting for Bush this time, but he knew Bush 2000 voters who were voting for Kerry this time. The other guy unhappily agreed that he didn't know any Gore voters who were voting for Bush this time. I assumed that Fox was trying to appear "Fair & Balanced" since they want to get interviews this coming week. That's the first time I have heard someone on television say this basic truth.

26. Now THAT is true
I don't know ANYONE who voted for Gore in 2000 who is voting for bush this time, but I know plenty of people who voted bush who are voting for Kerry. (I live in Texas.)

In other words, all bush has done is LOST voters in the last four years. They were right on with that.

29. Fox was only network to cover entire Edwards speech live at N.C. rally
two weeks ago and their live coverage of the Raleigh N.C. event was straightforward- showing his entire speech without snarky comments. I would never have turned to them except I couldn't find any coverage on any other channel. I was shocked that they actually carried his entire speech plus some shorter live coverage of the rally before his speech. No wonder some Repubs are complaining!
