When you remember Bush had most of the world pissed at us before 9-11
the question arises if a vital piece of intellegence that could have prevented 9-11 was never passed onto us by the Intellegence agents of another country. And we're not necessarily talking spite here, but perhaps just a lack of urgent concern for America.
Of course, we'll never find the answer to that question, yet the climate remains the same. The point is, that by antagonizing the world community Bush indeed makes us less safe, because he makes them less eager to go the extra mile for us.
In the end, to smother terrorism we are going to need well-coordinated
Intellegence from as many nations as possible. And if other nations don't feel they can or should trust us, we are not going to get it.
And, of course, Bush doesn't get it. And because he doesn't get it we will continue to be less safe as long as he is in office.

2. Probably true, but he was warned by many nations, Russia, Germany, Cuba,
Israel, France, Italy and many other prior to the attack and he chose to ignore them all. He was warned by his own CIA and he chose to ignore them.

3. And....Sandy Berger briefed him on it and Clinton
told him Al Qaeda was our biggest threat. Richard Clarke tried and tried to get a meeting with him for months and he poo-pooed ALL of them. This entire thing rests at HIS feet.
