International call from France against Bush:"Because we love America"
Edited on Mon Aug-30-04 02:51 PM by Rochambeau
I don't know if it can be posted in LBN so I take no risk and post it here.

French news magazine "Marianne" launches to public today it's International Call against Bush. The call has been signed already by a few hundred(said the magazine) "important" persons from all around the world like newspaper editors, movie directors, writers, historians, philosophs etc. A firts list of 30 of them to start with is published today in the paper magazine (not online sorry).
Most of them are not knowned in USA unfortunatly, except maybe Youssou N'Dour(singer) or Adam Keller(chairman of "Gush Shalom", the Peace Block) but it's just the begining.

The text of the Call, translated by "SYSTRAN 5.0" (http://www.systranbox.com/systran/box) (It's not an ad just credit)

" The American President who will be elected next November, will not be
only the President of the United States but, in the certain way, for
best or worst, the President of the world. World peace, our capacity
to make move back fanaticism and terrorism, but also the injustice and
misery, to solve the conflicts which nourish hatreds and the rages, to
support the agreement and comprehension between the people, the
reconciliation or the shock of civilizations, the taking into account
or not of the problems of the environment and thus, to become to it
planet, the life of 6 billion women and men, the balance of our
economies, the evolution of our companies, will depend, for a great
part, choice of the American people. The rest of the world cannot thus
ignore some. The friends of the United States cannot remain neutral
when the current incarnation of America nourishes the anti-Americanism
everywhere, with the great joy of the enemies of the democracy. This
is why the undersigneds, representing all the continents and all the
cultures, the confessions and the philosophies most various, address
to the American people to let him know that they call of their support America which would not be represented any more by George
Bush. You also, invite the American people not to re-elect
George W. Bush while signing in the heading "to answer" of this page. "

The site looks cheap but the news mag is important and has a very good international friends network.

Please give that call publicity inside and ouside USA, it's important.

To non american DUers who would sign please e-mail your name, adress and profession to: petition.bush@journal-marianne.com
