Today's Stars and Stripes headline:
BUSH: TERROR WAR MUST BE FOUGHT EVEN IF UNWINNABLE
(Deb Riechmann, AP)

On Aug. 29 Stripes published an article, "Over 8,000 troops get probable yearlong deployment back to desert."

GIEBELSTADT, Germany — It seems as if the paint on the “Welcome home” posters from last year’s Iraq deployment had barely dried when the news came last week to thousands of Europe-based soldiers and their families.
Get ready for another year in the desert.

You can imagine how our soldiers, who are redeploying for their second year-long tour, of either Iraq or Afghanistan, must be feeling right now.

1. I wonder if those who support the 'pResident' are going to have some
second thoughts soon? I know I would if someone jackass were putting my ass on the line for an 'unwinnable' situation.

3. This, and to discover that their injuries are being mocked by
those in the "I support the troops" party. I can only hope that the soldiers are wising up.
