Heard back from CBS via email

I just thought it was important to email CBS and let them know that I still support what they tried to do with their story---to raise the issue of the character of prez bush, so I did. Got back very nice email from Regina of CBS Evening News thanking me for the support.

Thanks for the nice reply. The questionable sourcing of the documents is too bad.

It's difficult to defend your organization when it has egg on its face. But as far as I can tell, the criticisms by other news channels are much more careless than anything CBS did.

The documents may or may not be forged, but they give every evidence of being created on a 1970's era typewriter, and were definitely not done on a Word processor. Good luck and take heart.

Who at CBS should "take the fall"? Should be fired? Are you serious?

Really, that such a question can even be asked in this world where nobody has been held accountable for the 9.11 attacks is at best, laughable
Insulting to the families and friends of those killed that day who STILL have no accountability in their government.

Or how about the ongoing prison torture scandal (the troops that have had to take the fall for the sins pf the higher ups notwithstanding) that many fingers point but no real responsibility taken.

Is everyone really so frightened of Karl Rove that journalistic integrity is dropped like a dirty diaper the minute he says "boo"?

If we want to see made up, newslike entertainment we'll watch Fox.

Dare to be different and bring us actual news.
I'm sure there are a few things going on in the world worth talking about.
