Dan Rather, Please tell me it ain't over
Please tell me you know Dan will be back and have proof that the fakes were a plant by Rove & Co. After knowing about the other story that was going to run, The Rational for WAR, it is too convenient for this not to be well orchestrated by Rove.

5. Redstone was a maxed-out Kerry supporter until the document episode --
he caved, he got scared, he worries about the fate of CBS in a possible second Bush administration -- something. I don't think he would have collaborated on this. CBS was the last of our press to fall in line. Now with their cancellation of the "60 Minutes" Iraq piece, they're in line with the rest, marching to Rove's tune.

11. Actually, I think Redstone was worried about Redstone...
Doesn't want to lose his fat cat job, otherwise he'd never make such an asinine statement about supporting Bush. You'd think someone so accomplished would be more intelligent about voting... You'd think he'd realize it's about MORE than just his JOB... and you'd think he'd look back at the truth of how actual businesses fared during Clinton years and Bush years, and know it's about more than just the Board of Directors windfalls or dregulation. Hey Redstone! If the majority of Americans can't buy your advertisers products, then what good is your media conglomerate?? (cuz it's ALL about advertising, baby!)

12. You'd also think that Redstone sees that Viacom's STRONGEST....
properties, MTV, SPIKE TV, HOWARD STERN, and CBS are "enemies" of the Hard Right Wing. The RW's would love to see all of them "censored out of existance" because they are "liberal" and "immoral". For Viacom is the ONLY media conglomerate that does NOT benefit from a Republican/Right Wing Administration.

(Redstone = Jackass)

2. I know you'd rather hear it from Dan, but
you'll have to settle for hearing it from me, for now:

"It ain't over till it's over, and it ain't over."

3. Another notch in Rove/Bush's gun...sad indeed
I'd make the comment that at least Dan's in good company, considering all the other fine citizens Bush and crowd have destroyed or attempted to destroy. But just that fact infuriates me and makes me heartsick.

Bush must go. BUSH MUST GO!!

7. With the possible fall of CBS
Who is left to make a stand against this administration. Goss is in now with no objections from our great Dem leaders. Here's hoping that Dan sees it as his patriotic duty to take these bums out.

8. I'm not giving up on Gunga Dan
But damn, he found himself some powerful opposition this time. These are folks who have mastered the art of silencing dissenters, and they're going to lean on him hard.

9. Dan! We've run a marathon 4 day thread(s) for you! Don't stop!
We've had some monster threads going here, trying to get to the bottom of the mysterious memo-set up. There are volumes of connections in there! If we aren't giving up, I don't think Rather is giving up! The most telling thing is all of this is how the original story, which was far more damaging to Bush, was scrapped in favor of the shadowy memo-story.. which was instantly debunked by a cast of GOP thousands. NOW.. the original story will not be run, because it will hurt Bush too close to the election! Folks.. THIS is how Bush got to STEAL the Presidency!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It wasn't the veracity of the ballots, wasn't the actual number of votes, wasn't the fine legal wrangling of his lawyers.. it was ruled that 'It would cause harm to George Bush (personally) if he is not allowed to be President, because he already believed that he had won'. The decision not to run the REAL story that was scrubbed for the memo debacle, is just ANOTHER free-pass for Bush.

The head of Viacom (who owns CBS) came out and endorsed Bush 'for the good of corporate america and Viacom), even tho he is personally a democrat.. and now the story is scrubbed to save Bush's ass!

Does ANYONE STILL have any doubts that the memo story was planted by Rove? Viacom? Stone? GOP? Bush? It was planted and instantly debunked as a way to deflect the TRULY damaging story.. the one that they refuse to run.

Thank you to the Corporate America media!! Thanks to your GREED and PANDERING and INACTION we have already lost over 1,000 of our military, because you were too busy KISSING BUSH'S ASS to report the REAL stories that would have stopped Bush from going into Iraq. Fuck you VIACOM! FUCK YOU CBS! etc. etc. etc.
