Poll question: Who Did YOU Vote For In 2000?
Edited on Sun Sep-26-04 02:38 PM by The Nation
Who did you vote for in 2000?

I just turned 18 this year, so obviously I couldn't vote, but I would have definitely voted Gore/Lieberman.

7. My grandson told me the same thing you just said
His first presidential vote went to Nader, but this time he's going straight democratic ticket, no matter who's running, and that makes me happy. He worked so hard to get his college education, and now that he has his degree, he's finding it impossible to find a good job,
and says he's had enough of this administration. :toast:

2. Nader. In Florida. NEVER Again.
I know. :spank:

I was very complacent. I never IMAGINED that an idiot like Bush could come close to winning. I underestimated the power of Limbaugh and Fox to make people do stupid things. Hell, at the time I hadn't even heard of Fox News.

In New York City, Nader (in 1996 too).

Voting Kerry this time (for the highest possible popular vote total).

13. It was my first presidential election....couldn't find polling place
I lived on a college campus in a dorm that was about 25 minutes walking distance from campus out in a kind of secluded area. I was certain the polling place was an elementary school that I had passed by several times before, but when I got there I was instructed to find a school that I had never heard of. I didn't have a car or anyone who could drive me around. The weather was kind of nasty. I was busy that day, but determined to vote. I must have walked around the area for a few hours, but still never found the school. I was and am still pissed off about it. I almost suspect the polling place was assigned to my dorm to make it difficult for students to vote on election day.

I was going to flip a coin to decide between Gore and Nader. Now, I can't believe I ever entertained the thought of voting for Nader, and am pissed at myself for believing his "Tweedle Dee-Tweedle Dum" BS.

17. 7 percent for Bush
Isn't that amount of votes he ACTUALLY received in 2000--before he paid off judges and the like to give him a victory?

Hmmmmmmm....

18. Gore in Ok in 2000; Kerry in 2004
I have a colleague who voted Nader in OK.

My son in IA sorta leaned Nader, but I said over and over again that IA was a must win for Gore, so he voted Gore.

His inlaws are 'old style' republicans; it would be interesting to know how they plan to vote. Also my former neighbors who are also 'old style' republicans.

19. Didn't vote.
Haven't voted since Carter/Reagan. Thought, "They are all the same." Sheesh! Learned my lesson, huh? Hubby, too, hasn't voted since 68 & is registered & voting this year.

Don't listen to the media whores or believe the stupid polls. The only poll that matters is the one on Nov 2. We are coming out in droves on Nov 2 & Kerry will win by a landslide.
