2. This should help too
Republicans are idiots. You really shouldn't waste time trying to disprove their lies. You'll waste your entire life if you do...

3. this is i think
a response to the
Things you have to believe to be a Republican today:

1. Jesus loves you, and shares your hatred of homosexuals and
Hillary Clinton.

2. Saddam was a good guy when Reagan armed him, a bad guy when
Bush's daddy made war on him, a good guy when Cheney did business
with him and a bad guy when Bush needed a "we can't find Bin Laden"
diversion.

3. Trade with Cuba is wrong because the country is Communist, but
trade with China and Vietnam is vital to a spirit of international harmony.

4. A woman can't be trusted with decisions about her own body, but
multinational corporations can make decisions affecting all mankind without
regulation.

5. The best way to improve military morale is to praise the
troops in speeches while slashing veterans' benefits and combat pay.

6. If condoms are kept out of schools, adolescents won't have sex.

7. A good way to fight terrorism is to belittle our long-time allies, then
demand their cooperation and money.

8. Providing health care to all Iraqis is sound policy. Providing
health care to all Americans is socialism.

9. HMOs and insurance companies have the best interests of the public at
heart.

10. Global warming and tobacco's link to cancer are junk science, but
Creationism should be taught in schools.

11. A president lying about an extramarital affair is an
impeachable offense.

12. A president lying to enlist support for a war in which thousands die is
solid defense policy.

13. Government should limit itself to the powers named in the Constitution,
which include banning gay marriages and censoring the Internet.

14. The public has a right to know about Hillary's cattle trades,
but George Bush's driving record is none of our business.

15. Being a drug addict is a moral failing and a crime, unless you're a
conservative radio host. Then it's an illness and you need our
prayers for your recovery.

16. You support states' rights, which means Attorney General John
Ashcroft can tell states what local voter initiatives they have the right to
adopt.

17. What Bill Clinton did in the 1960s is of vital national interest (smoke
pot), but what Bush did in the '80s is irrelevant (snort coke and become an
alcoholic).

which of course is much more effective

but i can go through each one of those examples and tear them to shreds, it seems to easy, quickly:

education: you are a republican if you believe in unfunded mandates, in the privitization of education and (ultimately) enshrining the separate and unequal policy for the rich and everyone else. Moreover, if the only way you know how to evaluate schools is to do standardized testing which is not validated, blah. blah

taxes- oh please anytime even a republican icon raises taxes the economy benefits (reagan, bush 1), democrats just worry about equity in taxation (ie not screwing the poor as reagan did

regulation-sorry kids the lack of regulation led to the abuse of workers and the environment of the industrial revolution, but hey republicans have had a republican level education, history? who needs it, and btw you cant pollute on the internet

fighting tyranny-hohohoho: PLEASE what about sudan twitty we "stood tall in iraq" for daddy and for oil

sorry i cannot stomach the 1/2 wits anymore, but i hope you get the picture

4. A Day in the Life of Joe Republican
posted by Eloriel who quoted DUer Karin

A Day In The Life of Joe Republican
Thanks to Karin for sending this our way

Joe gets up at 6:00am to prepare his morning coffee. He fills his pot full of good clean drinking water because some liberal fought for minimum water quality standards.

He takes his daily medication with his first swallow of coffee. His medications are safe to take because some liberal fought to insure their safety and work as advertised.

All but $10.00 of his medications are paid for by his employers medical plan because some liberal union workers fought their employers for paid medical insurance, now Joe gets it too because his employer needs to offer competitive benefits to hire the best people.

Joe prepares his morning breakfast, bacon and eggs this day. Joe's bacon is safe to eat because some liberal fought for laws to regulate the meat packing industry.

Joe takes his morning shower reaching for his shampoo. His bottle is properly labeled with every ingredient and the amount of its contents because some liberal fought for his right to know what he was putting on his body and how much it contained.

Joe dresses, walks outside and takes a deep breath. The air he breathes is clean because some tree hugging liberal fought for laws to stop industries from polluting our air.

Joe drives to work in one of the safest cars in the world because some liberal fought to raise safety standards and emission controls.

Joe begins his work day; he has a good job with good pay, medical benefits, retirement, paid holidays and vacation because some liberal union members fought and died for these working standards. Joe's employer pays these standards because Joe's employer doesn't want his employees to call the union. If Joe is hurt on the job or becomes unemployed he'll get a worker compensation or unemployment check because some Liberal didn't think he should lose his home because of his temporary misfortune.

Its noon time, Joe needs to make a Bank Deposit so he can pay some bills. Joe's deposit is federally insured by the FSLIC up to $100,000 because some liberal wanted to protect Joe's money from greedy, unscrupulous bankers like the ones who ruined the banking system before the depression.

Joe needs to pay his Fannie Mae underwritten Mortgage and his below market federal student loan because some liberal decided that Joe and the government would be better off if he was educated and earned more money over his life-time.

Joe is home from work. He plans to visit his father this evening at his farm home in the country. He arrives at his boyhood home. He was the third generation to live in the house financed by Farmers Home Administration because bankers didn't want to make rural loans. The house didn't have electric until some big government liberal stuck his nose where it didn't belong and demanded rural electrification. (Those rural Republican's might still be sitting in the dark!)

He is happy to see his dad who is now retired. His dad lives on Social Security and his union pension because some liberal made sure he could take care of himself so Joe wouldn't have to. After his visit with dad he gets back in his car for the ride home.

He turns on a radio talk show, the host keeps saying that liberals are bad and conservatives are good. (He doesn't tell Joe that his beloved Republicans have fought against every protection and benefit Joe enjoys throughout his day)

Joe agrees, "We don't need those big government liberals ruining our lives; after all, I'm a self made man who believes everyone should take care of themselves, just like I have".
