America's PAC on Urban/Rap Stations?
In one of my exercise classes, we listen to an urban/rap radio station from Dayton. Now, I never listen to the music of my peers, so this station is new to me. Anyway, this station is, I'm told, primarily geared toward African-Americans and fans of rap music.

During its morning show, they talk about politics. Then, during commercials, this group called "America's PAC" airs these really odd commercials--the actors are black and sound really fake, as though they're stereotyping race. Plus, the commercials have strange, warped messages. To paraphrase:

Man 1: I can't believe you're voting for the Democrats this year.

Man 2: Why? They didn't throw away my votes or try to keep us black people from the polls.

Man 1: Really? Well, according to some groups, Democrats actually block more blacks from the voting booths than others. They disenfranchise us.

Man 2: Really? Well, I think I'll reconsider.

They're so brief and so odd. Another one dealt with a guy who's just trying to open an "auto shop" but can't because the Democrats "made too much paperwork, raised taxes for stuff I've never heard of, and don't let us vote."

Has anyone else heard these? They sound like stereotypes to me.
