Seven children killed in bus crash
ATHENS (dpa) - At least seven children were reported to have been killed and dozens injured when a bus carrying them to watch the Athens Paralympic Games crashed into a truck in northern Greece on Monday, police said.
"The children were on their way from the central Greek town of Trikala to Athens to watch the Games when their bus collided with a truck," a police spokesperson told public television NET.
The crash happened about 180 kilometres north of Athens. There were 41 pupils and teachers on board the buses.
The Paralympics, which started two weeks after the Athens 2004 Games, end on Wednesday.
Schools across Greece have purchased thousands of tickets for the Paralympics and hundreds of schools have taken students to watch the Games during school hours.

http://www.brunei-online.com/bb/tue/sep28w18.htmI was watching ANT1 (Greek news channel) and they had one of the mothers of the children on talking about the crash and the whole conversation was just so sad. She called the general media a "piece of shit" because she said that they will cover the story of her child's death and the crash for two days and then forget about it. She also called for a reform on truck drivers because they are forced to work very long hours and the trucks they drive are under code. This was not the first time a crash like this happened because of inadequate vehicles in Greece(
