Can I burn down my neighborhood now?
I live in an upper-middle class area where the people are mostly hard working average Joes struggling to keep up their house payments. I have been cautiously optimistic about the lack of B/C signs to date, but on my way home from work tonight, I see that 5 shiny new Scrub signs have materialized since I left the house this morning. Mine are the only K/E signs to be found anywhere in the vicinity.

At least they haven't napalmed my signs yet.

And here I thought I respected some of these idiots!

1. My husband mentioned that there were new B/C signs in our
neighborhood, too, but that they seemed to be set up in medians and other 'no-man's land' areas, not by actual home ownersin actual yards.

Anyone know, are those signs legal? If not can I take them down? Pulling down the property values, can't have that.

2. I'm sure it varies by city, but it SHOULD be illegal.
Especially if it is city property.

6. I know its illegal
here in the midwest. The easement between the sidewalk and street is off limits, and any 'state-owned'/public right-of-way is off limits for signs. This applies to all signs, not just political ones.

Just wait to dark and go take the illegal signs, you'd be doing the city/state workers a favor.

20. Illegal here.....
You can't have signs(no matter what kind) from the sidewalk edge over to the street. Absolutely can't have them running up and down medians. Doesn't matter if your a Bush lover or a Real Estate agent, its illegal here and might be where you live.

You need to find the phone number for central inspection and give them a call.

7. Interesting,
you seem to be worried that someone is going to damage your Kerry sign. And yet you want to burn people's houses down.

21. in my neighborhood, we are surrounded...
B/C signs up everywhere. WE are the only Kerry supporters. I picked an extra sign at Dem headquarters. I donated a twenty dollar bill, and the worker said "for that amount, take as many as you want" Which both encouraged and saddened me. Is twenty dollars a big donation? but I digress..;

They didn't have any proper signs left, but placards, so I laminated it and stuck wires on both sides. Every night I watch before going to bed, but luckily thus far no one has done anything bad to the sign or us.

very sad to think I have to worry about that.

Upper Middle, maybe my neighborhood will make up for yours. Although I have seen a number of Bush signs the number of Kerry signs beats Bush at least 10 to 1 and they are growing. We have a Union Hall down the street and I think they are giving them out. There are a bunch of them on lawns and by the side of the road.

Kerry is gonna take PA I have no doubt in my mind.

17. That is heartening.
I feel pretty sure that Kerry will take WI too. I just happen to live in an area where the 'citizens' don't seem to be paying attention.

16. The Kerry signs out number the Bush signs in my neighborhood
What I find sad however is with the execption of one all the Bush signs are in the yards of low end houses. These people must be fundamentalist Christians. Why else would anyone who's not well to do vote for Bush?

19. Chickens for Colonel Sanders...
It's a shame that we can't seem to get through to these people. They are the ones most exploited by this administration, and are simultaneously the most staunch supporters. It defies logic...
