10. Why can't the people who live there be counted?
They are trying to take their country back too. Take it back from the Saddam flunkies and the foreigers pouring in. Most Iraqis want a secular government. Their deaths should not be discounted. They are just as dead and just as worthy of being counted as our troops.

18. Right. If you really believe that, I've got some fine bridges to sell....
...you out in the Louisiana bayou.

One more point, you don't personally have a clue what the Iraqis want, but I can tell you that they didn't want what happened to them when we invaded.

"Saddam flunkies"???...sounds like Rumsfeld's "dead-enders"...are you getting your material from the same source?

20. The Iraqi people were not part of
Bush's much hyped 'coalition'. The Iraqi people were the ones who became the enemy.

worked at week to come up with that one. No one has gone through full training. They refuse to fight their own people!

11. How many Cheney lies have you counted?
There are so many. Every time he answers, he lies. Does the man not know about videotape? If every "news" station doesn't show Cheney lying...and call him out on it, we'll know that they're total whores. Total. Whores. How can a free country, a great country, let a man just lie and lie to our people? Our Vice President. The man has no respect for us whatsoever.
The hubris is over-whelming.

We're "creating jobs" according to Cheney Math.

We're "funding education" according to Cheney Math.

We're "fucked", according to REAL math.

isn't going to play well with people. People may not be that bright, but they know the difference between some "security forces" that barely exist and the US military which is over there taking casualties.

Most of the security forces are barely trained and while I admire those people greatly for volunteering to try to bring some order to their land, many are being killed when signing up in the first place.

Plus Edwards was talking about "coalition casualties" - meaning those casualties from the countries that invaded Iraq.

One thing people of ALL political stripes know is that the US is paying the heaviest burden for this war and that the other countries simply have NOT contributed much to this effort (and I don't blame them a bit for not doing so).

Cheney came off as an ass and I think anyone should see that the administration is trying to paint a rosy picture out of a situation that is gone way beyond anyone's control. He is minimalizing and trivializing those losses among those that are serving and dying.

22. I guess they can also mention a 400% increase of civilian casualties
In Iraq compared to 9/11 (around 12k civilian casualties reported in "collateral damage")

And that's not even including the people who've died indirectly because the "Coalition" is there.

2 can play that game!

24. And cheney said the 138 US deaths in Gulf war justified NOT invading Iraq
Amazing how rightwingnuts can so blithely justify ANYTHING, changing as it suits their agenda.

1064 US dead (so far) out of a total (so far) of 1202 "COALITION" soldiers;

**(NOT including Iraqis, cheney, which YOU don't bother counting, cheney...except for tossing in a few when you wish to trivialize our soldiers' deaths, cheney)

88.5% of all coalition deaths are USA.
