they had their poll last night, and they didn't like the outcome, so they pulled it:

Last Nights Poll:

NOW, they put a new poll up with the same question!!

1. Yep, and read the website now.
"Early polls indicated differing reactions to the debate between Vice President Dick Cheney and Sen. John Edwards. An ABC News snap poll shows Cheney the winner, aided by a more-Republican audience, while a CBS News poll of undecided voters shows the opposite."

I guess their own poll didn't matter. Perhaps a second one where Edwards gets twice as many votes as Cheney will persuade them.

Riiiiight.

10. Yeah, the ABC News poll, aired last night on Nightline...
Edited on Wed Oct-06-04 11:55 AM by krkaufman
... is total bulls--t. The poll shows Cheney as the "winner" by 8 percentage points -- because there were 7% more Republican viewers.

Among registered voters who watched the debate, 43 percent said Cheney won, 35 percent called Edwards the winner and 19 percent called it a tie. One factor is that more Republicans tuned in — 38 percent of viewers were Republicans, 31 percent Democrats, the rest independents.

Just ridiculous. That's like a football game where the "Donkeys" score 10 points more than the "Neoconvicts", but the Neoconvicts are declared the winners because they had more fans at the game.

Unbelieveably poor journalism by ABC.

Plaster them with feedback.

p.s. Here's the ABC poll report...

and put up a new one. It will be interesting to see their reply if they reply.
