Poll question: Which Justice would you clone and appoint to the High Court?
Only pick one, your favorite and consider the possibility that they might be replaced by John Ashcroft or Orin Hatch if we don't work our tails off!

1. Sorry. I want Thurgood Marshall back....
and Earl Warren. Hopefully we froze their DNA someplace. We need them now ... badly.

7. When I was in law school and had to read a lot of cases, Thurgood
Marshall's opinions would sometimes make me tear up. He was a great justice. Never abandoned the least of us. He was a great great man.

3. How I yearn for the days of a true giant like William O Douglas....
You young guys have never known the feeling of truly ADMIRING a justice. He was far ahead of his time, a brilliant scholar and as fine a justice as ever lived.

Probably, the man I admire most in history, next to Jefferson.

4. Can we clone and nominate former justices?
If so, I would choose Justice Harry Blackmun.
