Has anyone noticed that there has been almost no media coverage of....
the latest Kitty Kelly book containing damning info about DUHbya that came out a few weeks ago? Normally something as potentially explosive as that would have been all over the tube, with her doing interviews everywhere... but aside from one appearance with Matt Lauer(sp?), I have neither seen nor heard from her. I wonder if Ashcroft her locked up in a cell somewhere under the "Patriot" Act???

1. My husband heard an interview with Kitty on Texas Monthly Magazine
on our Austin PBS station last week.

3. I think she was immediately dismissed as a partisan hack
because of few of her stories seeming so outrageous...i.e., Laura Bush selling drugs (I heard). Just too much slime in there to come across as not being partisan.

What she should have done was create a non-profit group called something like, 'Texas Citizens for Truth' and pumped out 'Bush sells drugs' ads every few weeks. That is the new way to do it.

4. That may be true, but I'll tell you why it doesn't matter
The book has been a bestseller since the day it was released, and if you go to Amazon and see what books people are buying with it, you see:

Against All Enemies: Inside America's War on Terror by Richard A. Clarke
Worse Than Watergate: The Secret Presidency of George W. Bush by John W. Dean
Plan of Attack by Bob Woodward
The Price of Loyalty: George W. Bush, the White House, and the Education of Paul O'Neill

Pretty cool, huh?

8. I've already read
Richard Clarke's, John Dean's and Joseph Wilson's books. I'm currently reading Kelley's book. I seem to fit the Amazon mold. :)

5. Just finished reading the book.
I have not read any of Ms. Kelley's other books, and I was expecting a trashy gossip fest. Not that I would have minded that. But I was very impressed at how solid and serious most of it was. She brought out some interesting themes on the family's various dysfunctions.
