"Rush Limbaugh Appeals Ruling on Records"

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) - Rush Limbaugh on Thursday appealed a court ruling that would allow prosecutors investigating his use of painkillers to examine his medical records.

The conservative commentator has said that the seizure of the records violated his privacy, and that he committed no crime.

Limbaugh attorney Roy Black asked for a rehearing by Florida's 4th District Court of Appeal.

Investigators raided Limbaugh's doctors' offices in November to see if Limbaugh had engaged in "doctor shopping," or illegally visiting several doctors to receive duplicate prescriptions.

1. Guess he needs a really good
TRIAL lawyer, now doesn't he? The court should appoint a PD for him and let him have the common man's experience.

2. I'm sorry but Rush is right.

I don't care how much you hate him (we all hate what he does), the SAME laws that protect Rush's privacy rights are the same laws that protect MY privacy rights. I stand firmly with the ACLU in its defense and I strongly demand the protection of civil rights for ALL Americans, even the bad ones.

3. Not a good idea.

While it may be emotionally satisfying for Rush to have a public defender, WE COULD ALL LOSE RIGHTS IF RUSH LOSES. Therefore, since MY rights are ultimately at risk also, I WANT RUSH TO HAVE THE BEST DEFENSE HE & THE ACLU CAN BUY.

Don't cut off your nose to spite your face.

Edit: OOPS. This was meant to be a reply to #1. Regret the error.
