Dead Heat Polls result in more Revenue for Media - its about $$$

Sorry but these "dead heat" polls with * overtaking Kerry one day and then the reverse the next are to get the campaigns to spend more money in media buys to help bring out their base.

Who benefits from the Media buys??? The Media...and the Media wants to make money!!!

If the race was clearly in Kerry's camp the campaigns might not spend as much money trying to sway voters and that doesn't benefit the bottom line of the Corporate Media...

For this reason alone I don't pay attention to polls...

1. I thinnk you are partly right, but there's more.

The other side to this is for the media to keep the PEOPLE tuning in! If this were a run away election on either side, the viewers would just tune out, and lower viewer numbers means lower ad rates.

In both scenarios, it's all about the moneym for sure!
