So if we run Jesus Christ for President, will he win?
Or will we lose the non-Christian vote?

So my husband turned on Blitzer on CNN and there was Donna Brazille, Ed Koch, and Gov. Rendell saying that they opposed partial birth abortion and that Kerry should have also embraced the moral values stance. If our Democrats use their language, no wonder we have lost.

Those of us who have endlessly argued the partial abortion debate know it's not an issue. Partial birth abortion doesn't exist. Late term abortion is the real phrase, so why are they saying this? They should be explaining this red herring not agreeing with it.

I give up!!

Incidentally, a little dirty secret about the Catholic Church. When I was going to rich bitch Catholic boarding school,(I wans't rich incidentally. My father's company paid for it because there was no American high schools in the foreign country he worked in.) any of the lovely Catholic girls who got pregnant in those days before Roe vs Wade, were hustled off to a Catholic hospital where a procedure known as a D & C, or scraping out of the womb was performed. Usually, this procedure is done for other reasons including menopause, however the doctors could diagnose that it was necessary for the health of the patient.

There was no problem. You could also get a prosethic hymen installed so that you would be a virgin on your wedding night. Of course you had to be among the daughters of the wealthiest Catholics, whom the Church was willing to accommodate so as to not dry up the flood of very large donation they contributed. The proles on the other hand were forced to marry the father or ending up in unwed mother's homes.

6. No way.
He hung out with a prostitute. His mother's husband wasn't his real father. He had long hair, a beard and went around barefoot, which automatically makes him a 'hippie'. He turned water into wine, not blood into oil. He gave subversive speeches that promoted social welfare. He bi-passed the pharmaceutical companies by healing the sick for free. And worst of all, he rode a donkey, not an elephant.

10. We couldn't run Jesus. He wasn't born in the US
and he isn't a citizen. And I doubt that he could file for citizenship without FReepers causing a shitstorm over immigration.

Plus, Jesus is from the mid-east. And, despite what so many want to believe, he probably wasn't caucasian.

So, forget about his stance on the issues. Jesus doesn't have a prayer...

Pun intended.

Besides, from what I hear, he is a flip-flopper and is soft on security...

11. Depends
If he's the one, the religious right expects, he woould win. (Insert picture here of a bearded guy, wearing crisscrossed shellbelts around his shoulders, a sawed off shotgun in his right hand and a flaming KKK ross in his other)

If he returns as promised, hanging out with gays, prostitutes and the homeless poor, some upright minister would put a 45sized hole between his eyes.
