Let's not give up on John Kerry
He tried his best, we tried our best, and we failed. Bush being a wartime president, coupled with 9/11 and the election being rigged in the first place made it so we never had a chance.
A problem with Democrats used to be we couldn't say goodbye to our leaders (William Jennings Bryant and Adlai Stevenson). Now we get rid of them too quickly.
Both John Kerry and John Edwards deserve our respect, if not another chance. At least don't ridicule them, because they don't deserve it.

6. Yes, I am here. You make a good point. However, the focus of the....
...liberals, progressives and democrats should not be finding the best spokesperson or leader, but championing an issue. Take the repuks, they whipped the fundies into a froth over the gay marriage thing. We need to whip our side up with VOTER FRAUD. Unless we, as a country, deal with voter fraud and voter supression in all their various ugly forms and evil incarnations, we will never have a clean, fair election in this country again. This isn't tin foil, it's reality.

If we don't fix the election infrastructure and end the outsourcing of American elections to the republican party, we could run Jesus Christ and still lose. Take that to the bank. We did not lose, we were not allowed to win.

2. people are angry...i don't blame them
if kerry and edwards don't address the possibility of vote fraud...then i will lose all faith in the democratic party.

3. This was the favorite ticket of my life
which includes, Dukakis-Bensten, Clinton-Gore, and Gore-Lieberman, and finally Kerry-Edwards, I liked this one the best because Kerry is someone I really like and admire, wasnt about ABB for me, but it was a real choice and alternative which is what I wanted. I really hope we can see Kerry do more in the future, maybe they will prove fraud, I hope so, because I want this guy to be president.

4. I'm not joining in the Kerry/Edwards bashing. In fact I plan to
send handwritten notes to both of them. My disappointment in the outcome is boundless, I can only imagine theirs.

Not being a mind reader, I'm going to reserve my judgment on whether they quit too soon. I simply don't know. I do know that I would have passed out from sheer fatigue and absolutely lost my temper somewhere along the campaign trail. They held it together and did their best against fairly insurmountable odds.

5. I agree. I hate when things turn into a bash party. I guess people need
a place to focus their anger and right now there are a lot of different targets getting hit.

7. They said they would fight for us.
So far all we've seen is a premature white flag.

We need real political fighters. I don't think Kerry or Edwards qualify, they won't take the fight to the enemy.

8. I had a feeling that we shouldn't have waited for an election
to vote Bush out. We should have been attacking him from the beginning for the Supreme Court decision and anything along the way we could impeach him, just like they did to Clinton. We shouldn't have given him a moments rest.

18. You made a good point. We should start now and keep his
feet to the fire every damn day for the next four years. Keep digging for facts on every story that we tried to get into the press and failed. Whip our representatives up on a daily basis to keep them actively fighting him at every turn. Make him wish he'd lost.

19. I keep suggesting that but everyone else seems to be
talking about election 2008. We will be a ruined nation by then if we don't hold him accountable 24/7 for his actions. We have to start now! Today!

21. Cleita, you are right
that we have to focus on what is happening now, and fight it tooth and nail. I am really sick of people being willing to wait out the next 4 years, as though the election wouldn't be rigged then, too.

10. Bravo!
I hate to see Kerry bashing here. They guy has a wonderful life, he didn't need to run for President. He did it to serve US.

:hi:

16. yep for us, I read the bio of Kerry by Paul Alexander
called The Candidiate, really gave me an insight in to Kerry, he ran because he saw how his friend Max Cleland was treated and wanted to stop it, and indeed Max was so right about what they would do him, they did trash his service, his honor, and his family. I also hate to see Kerry bashing because the man worked so hard for this.

12. I'm not sure what you mean about not giving up on John Kerry?
He prepared for a long time for this, and chose the course himself.

It didn't work.

Read Arianne Huffington, and then think about it.

15. They do. Why is it that only the candidates outside...
of the two parties - Nader and Cobb, specifically - are questioning the election results and calling for investigations?

The Democrats remain silent as another rigged election is passed off as legitimate.

23. Start pointing out the strange happenings...
that people on DU have been reporting ever since Election Night.

Accusations of fraud are unnecessary. Simple calls for investigation by such well-known figures would result in action. Doing nothing helps nothing.
