Fuckface Gustapo Ashcroft steps down.
Edited on Tue Nov-09-04 07:26 PM by jefferson_dem
Just announced on CNN.

Now can he stand trial...fucking nazi jackass.

WASHINGTON - Attorney General John Ashcroft (news - web sites), a favorite of conservatives, and Commerce Secretary Don Evans, one of President Bush (news - web sites)'s closest friends, resigned Tuesday, the first members of the Cabinet to leave as Bush heads from re-election into his second term.

Both Ashcroft and Evans have served in Bush's Cabinet from the start of the administration.

Ashcroft, in a five-page, handwritten letter to Bush, said, "The objective of securing the safety of Americans from crime and terror has been achieved."

4. It certainly does, and I'm sure he will.
However, it remains to be seen whether or not Asscrack on the USSC is what finally pushes the GOP moderates over the edge into full rebellion.

The confirmation hearings will be fun to watch if it does.

Asscrack is crazy. He's needed a hug me jacket and rear end full of antipsychotics for a very long time.

14. Actually, given the success of his hit 'Eagle'
and his use of Crisco(tm) to anoint himself, it was a natural next move,

He'll be repping Wo-Man cosmetics downunder....

(Any 'Priscilla' fans out there?)

7. Thank God that the safety of Americans has been secured from crime
and terror: I for one would have sworn these were lofty goals to strive for rather than having forevermore been achieved.

These assholes are always up to something, so I too will wait with fear and loathing whatever it is they're cooking up.

But for now, so long, Crisco Johnny!

15. Blame Reno for that one...
She approved the order for the drapes for the statue. She's said so many times. The repukes try to make that an issue to distract us from their Nazi tactics. Please don't fall for their crap.

16. I'll have to call "bullshit" on that one.
The drapes were ordered by Asscroft in Jan, 2002! Reno was back home in FL then. I assure you that noone's being distracted from Asscroft's jack-booted tactics...no here at least.

19. I wish people here would start thinking!
If Ashcroft used them his second month in office, how in the **** did he order them in Jan 2002? It's just not possible. Think about it logically. Too many people here jump to the conclusion they want rather than thinking.

22. Are you an idiot, ignorant, or just here to stir up shit?
Umm...it was Jan 2002, my friend.

Here's some evidence in case you actually care -

No longer will US Attorney General John Ashcroft appear in public with a semi-nude statue towering above him.
The US Justice Department has spent $8,000 on curtains to hide the statue from the cameras.

The female, art-deco "Spirit of Justice" statue, with one breast exposed, is located on the podium in the department's ornate Great Hall where news conferences are often held.

WASHINGTON (AP) — No longer will the attorney general be photographed in front of two partially nude statues in the Great Hall of the Department of Justice.

The department spent $8,000 on blue drapes that hide the two giant, aluminum art deco statues, said spokesman Shane Hix. For aesthetic reasons, he said, the drapes were occasionally hung in front of the statues before formal events. The department used to rent the drapes, but has now purchased them and left them hanging.
