Aggravating Conservatives
The majority of people I come in contact with in South MS (a red, slave state) whether friend or foe are diehard bush supporters. When talk turns to the election, which it almost always does, I let them blather on about the goodness of the outcome. Then I pull a handful of Army Recruiter business cards out of my wallet and offer one to them; or their children or grandchildren. I offer to drive them to the recruiting office. Talk about going flacid. They consider it an affront. They don't HAVE to serve. I tell them that signing up is much more patriotic than putting a flag decal on their truck. I've had a 100% success rate so far in pissing off my fellow citizens. Recruiters would be more than happy to give you a handful of cards to pass around and help them out.

Also - 1-800-USA-ARMY is a great subject line for emails to your favorite patriots.

1. This is brilliant! How dare they get pissed off?
I don't understand why they wouldn't be delighted to serve the Glorious Cause.

2. And if you're like me
a 0% success rate in getting them to enlist! I carry the enlistment forms around, though. Better for the shock value. Freaking cowards.

You are right, I'm batting 000.00%. They are all so macho and so damned American though.

7. Impossible, sorry.
You can't possibly be saying that these people refuse to fight in a "just war". Have you mentioned to them how that flip-flopping liberal John Kerry went to war?

Surely this can't be true. Republicans who don't walk the walk? I've never heard of such a thing.
