Because it is not close enough to be in the margin of error that would call for the state to run the recount, if we want it we have to pay for it.

We should add a provision to the contract that if there is fraud by state officials the money will be refunded. And then let the Cobb & Badnarik campaigns keep it.

It seems to me, though, that they could come up with the money for a recount if the Green Party asked them PUBLICLY to contribute to the recount effort. Don't get me wrong. It should be funded by the state (i.e. free), but I was wondering how the actual cost would only be $110k for such a massive effort involving so many people.
