5. Which seats are up in '06?
You can bet your bottom dollar that he'll be running..:)

Maybe he thinks that 2 years is sufficient to transform himself.

25. Rod Blagojevich is upo for re-election, and the Democrats will cut his
achilles tendon by running Lisa Madigan against him in the primaries.

Governor Alan Keyes is a possibility that cannot be discounted.

If Madigan runs against Blago, there could be some serious political damage done.

would win against the dem. primary winner. Did you pay ANY attention to Crazy Keyes' last race???? Hello??

4. Keyes
There is a large Keyes sign by my house in GOP heavy NW burbs of Chicago where he was crushed by Obama 11/2. Someone kicked a hole in the sign...it is still up. There should be fines for candidates that don't take this signs down in a timely manner. Keyes is a joke and EVERYONE Dems and the GOP know it. I am still trying to figure out why they didn't put up Oberweis after a Jack Ryan stepped down in his scandal. Oberweis was a close second, this upset a lot of TRUE REPUBLICANS you know the fiscal conservative types.

and plans to "reform" the Republican party in Illinois. Which means the Republican party in Illinois is headed straight to the toilet now. Hell, some of the big-name moderate repuke politicians here openly supported Obama's candidacy.

8. It is actually good
this means we might have a chance to pick up Hasert's seat and some others. I love to watch the Republican party slit their own throat. Republicans around these parts are more of the Peter Fitzgerald moderate types.

14. That man is totally certifiable.
I don't understand why he thinks the people of Illinois would even begin to take him seriously. Who is he going to run against? I would love to see him take on someone like Danny Davis or Jesse Jackson, Jr. He wouldn't stand a chance. If he thinks he has a shot at Durbin's Senate seat, it's time to send him back to the asylum.

Granted there are quite a few bigoted white people especially in the very Northwest and Southwest Sides of the city that probably did vote for him three weeks ago, but anyone with half a brain knows what a piece of work he really is.

Oh, maybe he's gonna run against Little Richie for Mayor? Now that would truly be too funny....

could not stomach keyes. obama got more votes than kerry and keyes lost at least a third of the solid republican vote. by the way who`s paying for his new digs? follow the money.....

20. We Knew That Almost A Month Ago
He said before the butt-whippin' he took from Obama that he was staying to "rebuild" the IL Repub party.

The moderates want him to stay. As long as a nutjob like him is around, they can continue to use him as an example of why the radical right can't control the IL repubs. Just remember, he took the worst beating for statewide office in Illinois history.

Trust me on this. I know some moderate repub activists, and they think his staying is the best thing that could happen for them. The base of the Illinois Republican party is a Rockefeller Republican base. They are not neocons, and they are not theocrats. Having Keyes to kick around as an object lesson in politics is exactly what they want.
The Professor

this guy is a total joke here in IL. It will keep Obama sharp to whats out there and expose the far right for what they are. Where is this guy getting his cash he is in major debt. I think it is a great idea to let the public look into his Income Tax Returns.

23. I don't know what he thinks he is going to do!
The "hard core" republicans I know (in central Illinois) didn't vote for Keyes. They "couldn't vote for Obama" either so they simply didn't vote for senator.

We have a local liberal on our local am radio by the name of Jim Leach and he very successfully makes a joke out of the Illinois republican party. It isn't that difficult when you consider the choice of Ditka or Keyes after Jack Ryan fell from "moral grace".

37. Keyes is moving to Illinois so he can be Obama's ankle biter
I can just hear some fat-ass Repub letting go of Keyes' leash and saying, "Sic 'em!"

There's a game going on to put Obama in a bad light somehow, somewhere, so there will be something in the future to throw mud at him if Obama makes a run for the presidency.
