Bush down to 52 percent in Ipsos-Reid poll!
See www.pollingreport.com
Even more important, his reelect is 38 for, 36 against. A reelect under 40 percent is not good, folks, no matter how you look at it. Combine that with the CNN/Time poll out today showing his hardcore support at 29 percent, and we have a serious downward trend. I can't wait until the approval rating from the CNN/Time poll is out. It has to be in the low 50s AT BEST. If anyone sees it, please post it.

Under 43 is pretty much Death.

4. Yep remember they are paying high dollars to improve the Bush/Iraq PR
In other words the Bush Administration is paying millions to mess with the public's perception of the Bush failures. This talk Bush is "giving" on Sunday is one of many tactics they will use to influence public opinion. Goebbels would be proud.

5. I'll be happier when that approval is less than 50%
I try not to be too poll-oriented. My views weren't particularly affected by being in a minority of 6% "disapproving of the president's job performance" after 9-11. But there is a certain psychological impact on some if the number was less than a majority.

6. 52%?
Funny, I seem to remember someone around here predicting that his numbers would fall to 45% by Labor Day.

I can't remember who though...

7. Probably did that in a moment of excessive optimism
:) I think Bush got a bit of a reprieve when he was on vacation but now the numbers have resumed their decline.

8. It's a sad thing when people think better of
your job performance when you aren't performing it.
