3 Presidents urges americans to give to tsunamis relief ..
Edited on Mon Jan-03-05 03:11 PM by rhino47
Ok maybe I`m out of line here but.. heres my thought on dickwad asking americans to give money for the relief fund.
First off the american people are very generous kind and caring that theydo not need to be asked. They are there with saddened hearts and open wallets.
My second thought is this. This cheap turd bankrupted the treasury, spends fat stacks on his creepy amoral friends but will not spend any money
poor bewildered third world countries during their extreme time of need.

By Steve Holland

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Bush (news - web sites) brought together former presidents George Bush (news - web sites) and Bill Clinton (news - web sites) on Monday to launch an appeal for Americans to make a donation to help victims of the South Asia quake and tsunamis.

"I ask every American to contribute as they are able to do so," Bush said.

Well georgie boy perhaps if your insane give tax cuts wouldnt put such a hurt on the working man they would be able to give some cash for relief efforts

They're pretty well to do.

2. Come on, billionaires, give what you would have been taxed
If you hadn't bought those elections for Georgie. Half? A tenth? Your pocket change?

4. Note the missing president
Did Jimmy Carter die when no one was looking?

Notice how * feels the need to make the pitch "bipartisan", "balancing" the Democratic and Republican sides (with him, of course tipping the scale).

The Mayberry Machiavellis couldn't handle the idea of including ALL our ex-presidents in something this big. Wouldn't want to do anything that might make the enemy look good. (ptui!)

6. Really JHB good point
Jimmy Carter is truly a good and caring man.I am glad however he stood clear of being used like that. Not that Im suggesting Clinton was incorrect in his appeal.

8. I don't think he "stood clear"...
...I think he was snubbed. I don't think * even bothered to ask him.

5. Tax cuts, supporting offshoring, supporting decimation of middle class...
Edited on Mon Jan-03-05 03:11 PM by HypnoToad
If America lived up to its word, then I would be able to.

Right now corporate america runs the whole shootin' match. When I buy from them, they donate to PBS, et al.

And when Microsoft donates $3 milion to the tsunami relief fund and gets praised for being oooh-so-great, I feel sick. Adjusted for income, I'd be donating $2.88. AND I don't have a tax haven 'foundation' in which to write it off, with interest, either..

9. How about we ask Bill Frist
To donate the money his family made defrauding Medicare? This could match the national amount. Hell, it could match the national debt.
