What was Clinton talking about, re: Not ciritcizing the President today
about the Tsunami issue?

Flipping channels and watched some M$M CBS Nightly news. :puke:

Then they had a segment on free market social security and how *'s second term would promise to have big changes...

:puke: :puke:

God. 24 years of republican presidents and look at the unstable mess we're in.

Hey Hypno!
Sorry, I missed the big dog. But, the faster the repugs turn on their dear leader the better. Don't worry, he IS going down!

Keep the faith!

1. I heard that comment by Clinton--not look back but forward-it was in
response to the question--were we tardy in responding to the disaster.
But did you hear poppy bush defend Jr? saying Jr was a compassionate person (again in response to the criticism that the US was stingy and tardy.
I do not think Clinton wanted to be critical of Jr with poppy sitting next to him.

7. I only heard a bit of it. I had to do something else as I couldn't
stomach the whole thing.

And you're right, anybody daring to be honest in such a situation would be skewered alive. I keep forgetting the day and age we live in. :-(

OAs for * going down. That's inevitable. The more he hams it up and bribes the media to make him look as good, especially with the real world knowing the truth, the more his downfall will hurt.

President Asks Bush and Clinton to Help Raise Funds for Tsunami Relief

It's absolutely hilarious that W has to go crawling to Clinton to help him wipe the egg off his face. All of a sudden he can't plaster Clinton on the WhiteHouse web-site fast enough.

President George W. Bush walks with former President Bill Clinton along the colonnade at the White House Monday, Jan. 3, 2005. Former Presidents Clinton and George H.W. Bush are leading a nationwide charitable fundraising to aid victims of last week's earthquake and tsunamis in South Asia.

18. Wow, such striking differences between the 2 in the bottom pic

Clinton is walking with his shoulders up, seems comfortable with himself, his stride is smooth and easy. W*'s stride is in full goofy mode, his shoulders and upper body are hunched forward - just a little more and I think that he could drag his knuckles.

edit: can't seem to type for some reason

4. Oh GOD. Not more of THIS CRAP!!!
Bill Clinton is a Democrat. Deal with it. We've seen what a real Republican president is like for these past 4 years. All this "so and so democrat isn't a democrat" crap has got to stop, seriously.

9. So, real Democrats support the following:
* NAFTA
* DOMA
* DMCA
* The 1995 welfare 'reform' act that did nothing for corporate welfare
* The 1996 telecom act.

No true lefy would, and Clinton signed them all.

Clinton did good things too, but I will NOT BE BLINDED by juvenile forced partisanship. From either side. Sorry. I think different - by thinking at all.

15. I'm right with you on that!
As an ex-carpet layer with 10 ruptured discs that filed for SS disability( that I paid the premiums on for 30 years) 4 years ago and am still waiting for the hearing where I can spread out the six Doctor's letters and the medical records that have never been considered, I hold the the welfare reform act of '96 up to see what the big dog is really made of.
SS is not welfare, but that bill let them have the grounds to refuse my claim this long.

14. Do Republican Presidents...
Create 20+ million jobs
Bring millions of people out of poverty
etc...

Maybe you would have prefered President Bush 41 from 88-96, then a President Quayle. :shrug:

16. Bill Clinton is a Southern Democrat
As such, he is right of center. But he is close enough to be called a Centralest.

5. Beats me
I don't understand this.

They made fun of Clinton, said he was eager to get to the cameras first, and made fun of "I feel your pain" and now this? :shrug:

Clinton is NOT running for anything and has no reason to support this fascism. What the hell is going on?

push bush* to this point...and I am proud that President Clinton did it....obviously, bush* wasn't going to do much without being PUSHED and pushed hard.....

THERE ARE 5000 AMERICANS MISSING and bush* remained on VACATION....

8. Getting money for the Tsunami victims is more important than
petty bickering. Would you really expect Clinton to trash W, then ask the very wealthy for donations to save poor people? Aren't you a little embarrassed thinking of payback at a time like this?

10. No. But a little naive. That's the problem when some people abuse others
so consistently. We end up naive, missing issues external to our sphere of relation.

Thanks for the eye-opener.

13. No one hates these MFers more than me, but at least we can get
some of that Republican cash and put it to good use. Less money for their attack on social security, though it seems to grow on trees for those rich republicans. I don't know if this is dissing Clinton, but he has more in common with George H. W. Bush that H. W does with his own son, George W. Neither H.W. nor Clinton would have lead this country into this mess, home or abroad.

19. TV talking head asked if it was fair for Bush Jr. to be criticized for his
slow reaction to the tragedy. Poppy quickly jumped in an said, "No. No, it's not fair. People should wait until they see the whole thing".
After that, Clinton didn't want to disagree with Sr. and criticize Jr. in the same sentence. I think Clinton knows they're both nuts.
