campaign fine- he thinks. If Iraq war brings considerable political damage to Bush and the GOP in 06, his arguments could resonate with GOP Primary voters. Looking over everything, I would not worry he will not make it out of the primaries as many Repugs feel he over reached which allowed Clinton to be reelected and helped shrink GOP majorities in the House and Senate in 96, 98, and 2000.

Okay, maybe I laugh too soon.

But the idea of that evil, embarrassing **insect** running for president just cracks me up.

4. On second thought....
Jeb seems almost like a plausible candidate in comparison... could that be the tactic?

The Kerik plan: float a candidate of extreme horribleness in order to make the "real" candidate look positively normal.

3. What's the difference?
Any Republican is worthless, so who cares who they run?

Besides, it's obvious that, despite his transparently disingenuous protests, Jeb is being groomed for the spot. That's why he's our ambassador to Asia at the moment.

24. Kenneth Blackwell Promises to deliver Ohio to Ficus in 2008
Yes, that's right.

Ficus has switched parties, and is now running for President on the Republican ticket.

The Republicans say they are "absolutely certain Ficus will the the next president in 2008. You can write that down."

All he has to do is declare that he has been "born again", carry a bible and declare he prays a lot and all will be forgiven by the repugs.

It was later (properly) renamed by the Democrats the Contract ON America.

15. It could be another 'Carol Moseley Brown' image cleansing run.
Since the campaign funds scandals, she was a pariah. Her primary campaign was mainly an attempt to give her image a makeover. Nobody could benefit from an image makeover more than Newt.

29. Now that they have perfected their method of fixing elections,
they can run any POS they want without fear of defeat. This will cut down on the amount of money spent and raised in campaigns because it doesn't make sense to advertise when the winner has been predetermined.

By 2008 this country will be dead anyway if the neocons get their way.
