Tenet's statement contains a flat-out lie.
He says:

"Portions of the State of the Union speech draft came to the C.I.A. for comment shortly before the speech was given. ...the documents related to the alleged Niger-Iraqi uranium deal had not yet been determined to be forgeries..."

That's patent bullshit. Wilson put the lie to it almost a year earlier in his mission undertaken at the behest of ...who? The CIA.

Tenet's complete, convoluted statement is here:

Imo, you can skip everything except the first and last graph.

3. Yep Tenet lied and Bush and Condi know it
But U.S. officials told NBC News’ Andrea Mitchell that Tenet himself advised Rice’s top deputy, Steven Hadley, to remove a reference to the uranium report from a speech Bush delivered Oct. 7 in Cincinnati, establishing that the nation’s top intelligence officials suspected that the allegation was false more than three months before they approved Bush’s repeating it in his nationally televised address on Jan. 28.

The Washington Post reported Friday that the CIA also told British officials about its doubts and passed word along to several U.S. agencies before the State of the Union address.

4. That's not correct
Wilson reported after his Niger trip that reports of Iraq obtaining Uranium were false. He never determined that the documents were forged(just incorrect).

5. Wilson's Report
What exactly does it say?
How could it *not* deal with the authenticity of the document?
Who saw it & when?
When will we see it?
Who sent him to Africa, CIA and/or Cheney?
