Poll question: How best to survive the next four years.

Just a few thoughts on the next 4 years while the rest of the country imbibes the koolaid until the party is over.

1. Take an Active Stance
If you need drugs to get through it, it's not worth getting through. Do something positive--move to a better country, run for office, reform the Democratic Party. Don't go down in defeat and drop out, that's exactly what BushCo wants you to do.

4. Do Something Positive - What Would That Be?
Reform the Democratic Party - Live in Texas, already tried that, was ignored.

Run for office - Too old, not a millionaire, too much baggage.

Move to another country - No funds, no skills that other countries want.

Any more suggestions?

6. Set your sites on something you can change, such as politics on
a local level. In your city, town, or county, you can make a difference.

11. I Don't Care About Local Politics - I Am A Big Picture Person
With a matching education and set of experience.

I worked hard to change the local Democratic party - People here where not interested - Won't go down that road again.

Nice suggestion - does not apply.

13. Move the heck out of Texas if possible, or move to Austin if you
can't move out of Texas. Other than that, I'm kind of out of suggestions for you, but better to dream too big than to dream too small.

5. I agree
Be proactive rather than burying your head in the sand!

We have sooo much work to do to take back our country, starting with election reform! If we don't change that, it's all a waste of time and energy, in my opinion!

Get on board or get out of the way...cuz the rest of us believe we can make a difference! (Look what happened on January 6...we're way ahead of what happened in 2000!)

We need to continue to support Boxer and all those who support us these next four years!

In addition, we need to be "actively" watching every move this administation makes every moment for the next 4 years!

The fight has just begun...

8. I agree with all the good advice!
Don't give up the fight! To do so is what would truly kill your soul! Be strong, and don't give up just because we haven't achieved our goals... yet! We need to fight harder than ever! AND... we HAVE made significant progress!

9. I hope to have a home in Mexico within the next 4 years
We can't even guarantee that Jeb or Newt Gingrich or some other idiot won't be elected in 4 years.

This country is going in a very bad direction, and I would feel more secure if I have an "escape route"!!

12. follow your dharma
Ask what is the truth of what you should do... and divine it by feeling
what makes you feel the most alive and excited.... THAT is the dharma.
It might be to stay and be an activist. It could be to change
careers and move to alaska.... each person will be different, yet
for each, if they're following that truth, it will light up their life
and fill their hearts.
