I've heard Dem's and re pubs take swipes at democratically elected Chavez during Rice's hearing today.

3. * said some time ago that Venezuela supports terrorism
and neocons have proposed to attack South America instead of Afganistan "to surprise the terrorists".

There's lots of oil in Venezuela; i'm sure it's on the list.

4. That's NARCO-terrorists to you, son!

I guess drug runners and such have moved up the "evil doers" food
chain by at least a notch or two.

2. I am fairly certain, Rep. McKinney, the Black Caucus generally...
...in addition to progressives like Rep. Kucinich and so on. These are the people I stand with. Hugo Chavez is leading a democratic struggle against the oligarchy that has plagued Venezuela for decades. The masses of people support their government as their own, as clearly demonstrated when the fascists lost their "recall" effort recently. The Congressional Black Caucus is the only group in the US congress to have a correct foreign policy orientation, as exemplified by the great Rep. McKinney.

5. Exactly. The Congressmen who stood with Aristide
Edited on Tue Jan-18-05 04:33 PM by Robbien
and spoke in favor of him are the ones I would suspect also support Chavez.

All the other Congresscritters are against the G-20 group of developing nations because that group of nations are fighting against the World Bank, WTO and the IMF. In other words, global capitalists.

There is also Ron Paul and Henry Waxman who may be in the group who do not detest the developing nations.

8. Yes, Venezuela and Bolivia frighten the neocons and big business...
...because they are examples of the people taking their country back.
