An article detailed a local connection to the coronation ceremony from a local vendor supplying the over 7,000 champagne flutes for the various balls:

"...The President initally had decided not to do the champagne glasses. He thought it was inappropriate with the troops overseas." said McLeod, owner of Mastercraft Decorators Inc.

Additional note, the champagne flutes contain the 2005 Presidental inagural symobol embossed in 22-carat gold.
