Am heading off to the Jazz Funeral for Democracy

in New Orleans tomorrow....featured speaker is Howard Zinn. (have to go to B&N and buy A People's History of the United States for him to sign.) Have visited most of the sites dedicated to Zinn...is he a for-true, died in the wool, socialist? Anyway, it should be an interesting experience, but I don't know how we will refrain from "spending one red cent" in New Orleans. Why am I even bothering to go and participate? As the organizer, Buddy Spell, said, "When the children ask, one day, 'Who spoke out?', I won't have to look down at my shoes."
